- RobinCiticards called and left a vague message (no idea what it was about). I called the return number and they were offering promos for paying more than minimum payment.
- Caller: Citibank
- Call type: Unwanted
- RonIt's Citibank. They called and didn't leave a message. I called the number back (thinking it was somebody else). However, I had filled out an online credit request to transfer a balance from another card. At the time the person I reached said they didn't have me on file but that happens until I receive the card and activate from my home phone. Why where they calling me and not leaving a message? Maybe it's unrelated. ***The call type option below needs an selection for LEGITIMATE as I think it is in my case.
- Caller: Citibank/Citibards
- J PI have a citibank credit card. They are calling because I did not activate the card. They want to activate and make sure cards were received.
- Caller: Citibank/citicard
- ARMary from Citibank customer service. Wanted to make me aware that I could convert my home equity loan into a conventional mortgage loan. She was very courteous and respectful. Gave me the terms of the offer and referred me to any Citibank branch for additional information. Footnote to 800notes.com: Call Type dropdown menu should include a category for legitimate calls.
- Caller: Citibank
- Pam KunkleThis number is supposed to be from Citibank - they previously sent a letter requesting personal information saying since I applied a year ago by phone, that I need to submit a paper form or my account will be closed. I called Citibank from the back of the card, and they said they don't mail out letters like that. I just received another PLUS a phone call, and once again, I called the card customer service number and they said disregard the calls and mailings - they already HAVE all that info - smell a scam!
- Caller: Citibank
- RTCiticards. Left very vague message to call within one day, I was scared someone was trying to steal my account again. Turned out they were just wanting to get me to apply for a credit line increase. Not a scam but a pretty low marketing tactic.
- Caller: Citicards
- Call type: Telemarketer
