- JP| 2 repliesThis is scam telemarketing. The number appears on the caller ID along with the label "Toll Free Call" but somehow does not get saved in my phone's list of callers. They have been calling everyday for several days now so when I picked it up yesterday, a recording said "Please hold for the first available representative. It is important that we speak to you."
I waited for about 5 minutes curious on who these guys were then a Hispanic-sounding gay guy came on the line and asked for my wife by name (We have a Spanish-origin name). I asked why he was looking for her and he answered "Er... why not?" I said I'm her husband and my phone number is in the DO-Not-Call registry so why was he calling??? He said he was not at liberty to speak to anyone except the person.
So I go "If you are not going to give me any information then do not call here anymore!"
He hung up. Today they are calling again but hung up after two rings only so I did not have the chance to confront them again. Just now it rang and when I picked it up the same message ran but before it could finish, I could hear someone typing on the keyboard so I said hello a few times before a cautious sounding girl said "Hello?".
I gruffly go "Who's this???" She hung up!
If ti was so important why a recording to introduce and why not leave a message for that person? My wife has been in the Philippines for three months now so there is no way she has any transaction that needed any "confidential" phone call.
Obviously they are scammers.- Caller: Did not want to say

- KK replies to JPThisis ridiculous. They call my phone 5 - 6 times a day without leaving a message. I call back and it says thank you for calling FMS. It then states please hold for the first available representative.... I'm still on hold so i have to go by your response. I think i will just keep calling them and then hang up on them - see how they like that!@
- AnonymThey call and a recording states "if you want to accept this call and speak to a representative please dial 1 and a rep will be right with you or just do nothing and the call will be disconnected. BS. If it's that IMPORTANT then speak to me! You fellow Americans have a great week.

- elI,too, am receiving numerous calls on my cell phone each day from this number. I did answer the first call, and from the request to verify my mailing address I suspected a scam and ended the conversation. The calls have been coming for approximately three weeks. One message was left saying I needed to return the call to FSM due to an outstanding debt. Thankfully, even on my limited retirement income, I do not have any outstanding debts. Marketing scam? I found this to be more of a threat! I am grateful to have found this site today.

Kathleen - Darla West replies to KathleenHi Kathleen,
If you find out how to block this annoying, constant phone calling from 866-323-8203, please let me know. This FMS company calls everyday, and I'm very fed up with them calling. Do you know what they want. They never leave a message. They hang up, and call again.
I wish I knew how to block this phone number for good.
If I find out how to block them, then I'll let you know.

- Darla West replies to Kathleen| 1 replyHi Kathleen,
Me again.
I called AT&T about this phone # 866-323-8203, and how to block the calls from them.
Here's the scoop:
They said to call: 1-888-382-1222 or go to this legitimate website:
Do Not Call.gov
This is the FCC Do Not Call Registry.
So, I'm going to give them a call or go to their website.
Also, AT&T says that they have several lawsuits with these type of telemarketers.
AT&T says that this phone will take 30 days to be blocked for good.
Darla - ModelflyerI had several calls to the previous user of my number. All of the others apologized and removed my number from their lists. This one persists so I named that number "Block 11", so when that name shows up I don't answer. I did this because I have an AT&T Go-Phone, every call that I receive costs me and these persistent callers were costing me credit.
I'm actually glad to hear it's not some disgruntled former boyfriend trying to annoy anyone who may have known the previous person who used my new number. - senasusI finally answered this call since I noticed the number poped up at my WORK also. The guy kept asking me if this was actually ME. And I kept asking who he was. I got his name and he was from FSM and it was about a credit issue and couldn't tell me anymore information till I validate it was actually Me. And I kept saying I wasn't going to Validate ME till I knew he was and what this in regards to. We kept going back and forth till he start to raddle off my SSN, my name and my address proving he KNOWS it's me but I need to validate it is. And I said "Good going, what if it Wasn't me and now I have this person's name, SSN and their address" I asked to speak to his supervisor about giving out my private information and he hung up. And of course I still get a call from this company at least once a day. SOOOO annoying!

- TN DudeCaller asked to speak to "Karen". The number that showed up on my caller id was 1-866-323-8203. Advised caller that there was not a "Karen" at my number. They had the wrong number. I called the number back, and the greeting said "Thank you for calling FMS. Your call may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance." I then hung the phone.

- AnnabelleI have gotten calls from this number constantly for months.... 5-10 times per day every day including weekends. It rings one time and before I can answer it they are gone. I too, like others have even tried calling it back and received a message that puts me on hold for ages and never identifies the company. I finally get tired of burning my cell minutes and hang up.
- Bill| 1 replyI get a call from this number (866)-323-8203 many times each day (including as of today, March 24, 2010). I'm guessing I have been getting these calls for about ten days. Typcially I would not answer as I suspected it was a telemarketer. Sometimes I would just pick up the phone and hang up.
A few weeks ago in the paper there was an article about a scam where somebody calls you and you getted billed for the call at $3.00 per minute, and there is nothing your phone company can do about it (I believe the article said it might have been an overseas scam).
In any event, I googled 866 to see what area code this was. And although the information was dated sometime in the year 2000, it said that this area code is not assigned to a certain geographical location. And it went on to say that the person who received the call would be billed. And then I found this site and read what everyone else wrote. Now I can understand why they want to keep you on the line.- Caller: 866-323-8203
- kathy gI just received another call from the 866-323-8203. Again they call several times a day. They are a credit collection agency trying to find someone who gave out our number as their home phone number. They were extremely rude to me on the phone. I said I do hope this was being recorded.
