Thay said they were from the Tac Car Group or something like that. The guy did leave a name of Jim Austin. Never heard of them.  Said it was an important business matter.

This place left a message with my mom.  I called 4 times and stayed waiting for someone to pick up 15 minutes each time.  I have no clue who or what they are.

yesterday i received a call from a guy called NIGEL said i owe bmg $26 i told him that i have no idea about this, but he was very rude said will report this to credit report....was not ready to listen any thing i had to pay that bill..to get rid of him and to save my credit report...but i want to file a complaint regarding this with better business...can any one help me with that....

they said i had an outstanding bill for a cd that i havent paid for in 7 years. he was tryn to get my card number and he also siad that i would be sent to a collection agence if they dint get my number. he dint give me the name of the cd and siad he was not able to cause of a law of privacy act. so it was all in big rush and then he kinda got mad a me for not doing it right away.

A guy from this phone number probably with an Asian accent called my spanish speaking mother in regards to a bill which she never heard of.My mom dsnt speak good amount of english ..but this guy i guess sum Hawk maybe harrassed my mother.Feed up of this my mother called me.i called this place to knw what was going on.they refused to discuss anythng with me.Speaking about some autorisation from her..i just dnt understand anythng,Can anyone help me out? because i dnt want my mother's CR to ber affected

Just got a voicemail from this number.  The man gave his name, the phone number and a reference number but did not mention my name in the voicemail at all.   He sounded very irritated even though it was just a voicemail, and I couldn't even understand when he said "Takhar" or "Tac Car" Group, whichever it is.

Anyone have a definitive answer for this number?

I think this is a scam. I just got a voicemail from this number from a Preston Waston, some company name I couldn't understand, a reference number and instruction to call right away.  Do not give them any information!!!  I worked at a bank and have been trained on this kind of stuff.

I was curious to know who this company was calling me and why they were calling. I googled the number and found all of your comments on this very number and ref#. I was surprised. This appears to be a very persistent scammer. Please be aware to never give your information over the phone. If they are truly trying to collect on a debt. Have them send the information to your home and NOTE if they have your file they should have your address DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY information on you. You will only be giving them free access to your information and possible identity theft. BE AWARE!!!!

Yeah, I got another voicemail from Mr. Preston Watson.  I listened to it, and then listened to the first voicemail and they are EXACTLY the same.  Same vocal inflections, same timing, everything.  It had to have been prerecorded.  As for reference # TC5041 which has been posted here twice, that's the number he gave in both my voicemails.  

This is DEFINITELY a scam of some kind.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!

I have had the EXACT same experiences as another person on this site..."Preston Watson" called, exact same pre-recorde message, reference number as others have reported, word for word message. It came on my cell phone twice, and only family and friends have access to my number. SCAM for sure. My phone is set to only ring for calls that are entered in my cell "phonebook". All other calls go directly to my voicemail. I have a flawless credit rating, so I know this is bogus. I am going to call the FTC and report this latest scam.

I got repeated calls from preston watson with a ref #. thought it was a scam or sales pitch, since i have nothing outstanding. i called & a guy with a spanish accent answered. refused to tell me what type of firm it was. i gave him the ref # & he said their files were by Phone # & asked for mine. Well my # is listed, so that's public info anyway, so i gave it. he says he's looking in his computer. then he asks me if i'm mr so-and-so. i said no. he aske if i lived at such-and-such address. i said no. he apologized & said the calls were in error & he'd remove my # from the list. that was last week. since that conversation, i've received 5 more voice messages from preston watson.

i received a voice message from this number (1-866-329-3564) and I could not understand the persons name but he said he was from taxact and he was calling in relation to the file they had in their office and he also gave me the number T3 5041.  He said to call by 5:00 pm eastern standard time to discuss my file. I thought it was strange so checked on the internet to see if I could find any information about this number and lo and behold it looks like a few people have received similar messages with the same number.  What kind of scam is this?

I got the same call on 3/28/2008 from a very rude guy that demanded I call by 5:02pm. He also referenced the number TC5041. I also believe this is a scam.

Preston Watson called, he left a phone number 1-866-329-3564, and a reference #, TC5041, and said to call back no later than 5:02 pm. He mentioned the company name (something like taggart group), but he never asks for anyone in particular.

Try calling back to find out what's going on. It's apparent this company is dealing with a population that is uneducated. If you call this Takhar back, you'll find out what it's about! I did and it was a misunderstanding and they never called me back!

i got 2 calls from these people, a woman in a very stern and threatening voice demanding that I call this number (866-202-1013) about an "important business matter" and that I must return their call urgently. When I called back (suspecting a scam) the guy asked me to tell him what number I had received the call from (I refused to tell him). Both the original messages I received and the guy I talked to when I called back were intentionally very vague about the name of the company - i demanded that they spell it for me very slowly (it was "Takhar" which I had never heard of). Sketchy! I suspect this is a scam where they are trying to get you to divulge personal info. The calls to me never mentioned me by name.

This number called my cell.  I do not have any business with anyone at this number.  Do not call me again.  I am on the do not call list.  If this continues I will report it.
