Does anyone know who they are? I did a search but found nothing, nothing useful.

Sprint

Its a recorded message, but you will only receive the last part of the message or from the point your voice mail actually start recording. The tail end of the message I received was about assistance in setting up a new account (I bought a phone from their retail store and took it back 2 days later). It did say contact them at 866-330-0802

I received the calls from this number 3 time a day.  It left a message and requested me to call back (866) 330-0802. Then I called Sprint customer service number and asked them to verify if this is the valid Sprint number but the Sprint representative can't locate this number in Sprint company.  Then I called back this (866) 330-0802 number by using landline.  Someone picked up immediately (usually put on hold for 5 minutes if calling Sprint) said it is Sprint.  I stated this is not Sprint number verified by Sprint.  The guy just laugh and hung up the phone.  So be careful and do not release your personal information.  This may be a fake company and try to steal your information.

Just rcv'd a message on my cell phone from this company. Guy stated he was Sprint and wanted to talk about the "Details" of my new line and that within 24-48 hrs he would be calling back. I can totally tell this is a scam and he is just trying to get personal information out of me. He sounded very un-professional and in NO way is this a legit Sprint phone call. DO NOT give out any information to this number!!! You've been warned.

Received a call from this number.  They knew my full name, and asked to confirm the mobile number that they had called.  They then asked for my Sprint PIN, which I opted not to provide.

I asked for a callback number, and they provided the number that appeared on my caller ID (the number associated with this thread).

Suspect.

I received the same call today and contacted Sprint's fraud department . After some digging they did verify this IS a part of their company and due to the new additions to the company all the new numbers are not in the system yet. So this IS a valid Sprint number even though they do sound very fishy! you can call Sprints fraud department to verify 800-877-7330

Called Sprint/Nextel Corporate Security today.  She called the 866 number associated with this thread while I was on hold.  She came back said the woman on the other end answered the phone with "Sprint, may have your phone number please"...Security said "I am with Sprint/Nextel Security.  Who are you?"  Security advised me to not give any personal information out to this number, or alternatively attempt to reverse verify that they are in fact working for Sprint/Nextel.  I called *2 and spoke with a customer service rep.  She verified that the details of my conversation with the person at 866-330-0802 were noted on my account page.  They may be a company Sprint contracted with in order to verify new lines of service and attempt to sell you the insurance package.

Received a missed call but no message was left.  I did *67 from landline and the call was picked up immediately (no computer message and direction) by "Justin" who said he was from Sprint and wanted to thank me for my new line of service.  I told him that I did not have a new line of service and did not believe that he was from Sprint.  BEWARE!!  It sounds like a scam to me.
