- John replies to PATI have received a call fom this company too, I was told that if I don't make any payment arrangement that I will be served, I talked to a guy named Martinez, he was respectful and polite but he kept avoiding me everytime I tried to ask for a letter, then he said that he will send me an email which I have not received as of yet, I will pay the amount he is asking for because the information he provided me where correct but I found a lot of Blogs nline talking about this company been a fraud so I don't know what to do, some help would be greatly appriciated thanks
Company Name: WCG & Associates
also used Alias: Clerks Processor Division
Contacted by: HAskins, Banks, Martinez
Phone Number: 18663334149 - John replies to deleted postDanny I went ahead and checked my credit report and there is nothing on it that matches the descriptions or the amount he was telling me that I owe, nothing about his company, his email is fake, I used some tool to track it back and he is piggy backing on some biz domain from godaddy.com, what company uses Godaddy ? I mean if they are using go daddy and they can not afford a real website how can they sue you, one they need an attorney in my state not in california, two they need to deposit a case with the court in my state and all that requires money, so they can not afford a real website but they can sue me ???? sound fishy to me, and by law when a debt collector calls you, he is obliged to send you a letter withing FIVE DAYS of the first call, this guy does not want to send me anything, whenever I ask for a letter he changes discussion, then he goes and tell me he can send me an email, an email is not a legit paper, honestly this guy is trying to scam me and I already called my lawyer and he take care of contacting the original creditor and handle it from there, if this guy calls me again he can talk to my lawyer, this is America and we do not live in the jungle

- John replies to nana| 6 repliesWell he is asking for too much money for my case too, the only problem with me is that I can not find his company on my credit report so I don't know what to do either, I asked for a letter from him to prove that his company owns the debt but he kept turning around, by the law they are required to send you a letter withing five days from the first call. I am going to call him again and try to get some more answer from him, let me know what you end up doing nana thanks
- John replies to John| 5 repliesWell nana, I just checked with my original creditor, and they told me whom to call, and after few calls I was pointed to 18663334149, What I can tell you to do is to go ahead and talk to them over a possible deal, they are very nice and polite for a collection agency, they will cut you a deal and work a possible payment for you this will work for your future. Just pay this debt and start a new better Credit life !
- nana replies to John| 3 replieshi john who was the one that provided this number was it the original creditor. I just spoke with the wcg asssociates yesterday and they were willing to set me up in payment arrangments but I am still investigating if this is a legitimate company if not I will stop the payment that I posted. I was also told by somebody else that this account is too old it was since 2004 and that supoosedly the creditor only has like 4 years to either sue. I am really confused I do not know what do now.
- 18663334149 replies to deleted posthi danny you also received a call from this number and you ignored it so you were taken to court or what happen? I am really concerned.
- Chris replies to nana| 2 repliesHas anyone got the name of theis collection company?
- John replies to ChrisI actually asked them to give me the numbers and the guy willingly gave the numbers, I called them and they pointed me back to them, the issue with the SOL which is the time a debt can be claimed depend from state to state, it goes from 4 to 6 years, unless you live in TX, South or north Carolina and PA you still can be sued these are the only states where you can be safe from been sued by the creditor or the debtor, I say do some research and make sure it is withing the SOL if not then try to pay it, if it is beyond the SOL try to talk to a lawyer so that you can send them a letter to stop harassing you ! Good luck
- John replies to ChrisThe collection agency is called WC Group, they are part of the WESTERN CAPITAL GROUP that's there number 951-677-8485 CA, they can harass you, they can sue you as they might not, but if you want your credit to be back on track and get better you might need to pay them, if you don't wanna pay just get you a lawyer, which ends up been the same, Good Luck is what I can say, they might sale your debt then someone else can then try to get it again and it can be another story again. You might try hard and get a better deal. But if you want to get a House or a car in the future you might need to pay it so that you can get a good report on your credit, they will also send you a letter proving that you paid the debt. that you can use in the future as a proof of payment of your debt. It is up to you what you want to do my friend !
- John replies to deleted postThe only way for some one to avoid Debt collection is by going off the Radar and I mean that ! Lose you phone number nothing under your name, no bills, no SSN use, and work under the table all that for at lease 7 years, If you can do that then good luck else than that just pay the debt. Good luck to all. Hey Mickey if you worked for a collection company how come you owe money on a credit card, or is Karma back at you ?
- AliI received a call from 866-333-4149. Fist a woman stated she was from the process verification division and was making an attempt to serve me. Ok, then i received a message from Mrs. Medina asking me to return her call at the same number. She stated that she was part of an investigation on a fraud case that has been filed against me. She asked for me to contact her in order to come up with an agreement and not to get served. So which one is it? Are they serving me or not? Did they fire the first women and forgot they were using a different script? I will simply change my number, but i find it unfair for other people they might intimidate. I will research to see if they are abiding the law on trying to collect this debt. I'm not interested in suing for the money, instead I'll be happy just to win.

- AaronHas anyone had a call from a Mrs.Pierce at this number? Is this a scam ? Mrs Pierce recently called my job two days in a roll saying I was about to be served if I did'nt pay off a HBSC credit card I had in the past. My conservator paid them $1500 out of $3800 credit card. Now I'm starting to wonder if I was scammed or not.
Isn't it against the law to call someone at their job regarding this too?- Call type: Debt collector

- worried| 2 repliesI got a call from them telling me that they are trying to serve me papers for a credit card that I don't even remember having.. This guy by the name of micheal from a proccessing center called me does anyone have their address so that I can send a letter to them and has anyone actually been sued by these people????
- KnowCollectionLaws| 3 repliesWow. Got a call & voicemail from Mr. Turner at 12:18 CDT stating the local authorities had called him informing him that the summons they were trying to deliver was undeliverable due to our not being home. He then asked me to call him back at 1-866-333-4149 ext 211, to let him know when we would be home or the summons would be delivered to our place of employment.
I called back, without identifying myself, he verified that WC Group & Associates was indeed a law firm and stated I was committing fraud. I then cut him off, told him I was aware of my rights per the FDCPA and that I had spoken to the OK County Sherriffs service dept. and the county recorder's office and there was no lawsuit against me, and the sherriff's office service supervisor had indeed check and cross checked and there were no summons for me and no sherriff's had been to my home today, AT ALL. He then suggested I call the Riverside County Sherriff's Dept in California and the Murrieta, CA Police Dept to file charges for collection fraud and possible attempted debit card fraud.
Western Capital Group shows many locations in So. Cal. but are doing business in Murrieta CA and the owner is supposedly Thai Lan. In the Ficticious Business Name search in Riverside County I could not find a listing.
I have an investigator researching this with the Murrieta PD.
It is against Federal & CA law, and OK Law for a collection agency to represent themself as a lawyer, law firm or having anything to do with any legal business, much less claim the service of a summons is pending (indicating a law suit is already filed against you).
Amazing. I intend to file complaints to all pertinent authorities. This is a collection agency, do not give any info, payments and request they send you certified mail. When I did this and said I would file charges with the Riverside Sherriff's Office, he hung up on me.- Caller: WC Group & Associates, WC Group Law Firm, Western Capital Group

- Sara replies to worriedThis same company contacted me regarding a credit card from a few years ago, asking if I had recieved legal documents yet regarding my case. Collection agencies use these scare tactics to get you to pay them. I'm sending a letter of validation to them regarding my debt. It took a bit to get the address though. At first I was told they only handle matters over the phone. Then the man said he could give me a fax number. Finally after being on hold for 5 mins, he gave me an address. You should NEVER give your credit card info over the phone to these people just because they say you owe them money. Always check all the info.
- need address someone please| 1 replyHi I got the same call the guy was very nice treated me like a child told me that someone was going to be serving me papers to get a judge ment for a credit card I don't even see on my credit report. At first I was really worried about it and wanted to try to get it paid I offered him a certain amount of money which wasn't much but it was all I had to spare he turned it down wanting more money telling me that it wouldn't make sense to just take the little bit that I offered.. Needless to say I did my research that night and never found this credit card that he says I owe on... I don't know if this company is real or not I left them a vocie mail asking for proof of my debt and I haven't got another phone call since then can someone please send me their address so that I may send them a certified letter I would so be greatful
