received message knowing my name to call regarding student loans. the caller name was Kimalee-apparently a representative from Jamaica. my e-mail address is vschuchard@hotmail.com.

got call supposedly about student "record" from a "university"

Asking for student records supposedly on behalf of the city where I live..and says when they're open whenever to whenever "eastern time." I didn't realize my city had more than 1 time zone :/

ACS student loans called me from this number, but I am unclear that it is actually them.  They quoted a loan number and price that I had already payed.

I got this call also regarding student loans at my daughter's college (they knew the name).  Sounded distant and hard to understand and hurried and just not right, so I checked here.  Guess my suspicions were correct.

I've been out of school for almost 2 years and have always paid all my loans and bills on time so I thought it was strange when I got a call from this number. They have been calling for the past week or so and this last time it was with no caller ID. The lady sounded foreign and called me about student records from the name of my college. Kind of scary that they know where I went to school. I won't be calling back!!

Yes, me too. In my case, voice mail sounded legit till I called back. Then I hung up immediately because something seemed off. Thanks for posting warnings.

Thank goodness for your comments! I just got a voice message from this number and the caller said they were from one of the universities my brother and I attended! Good to know it is a scammer!
