Michael Brown poses as IRS saying there is fraud activity. He demanded my social security number and became belligerent when I refused. Watch out! There is a lot of scum out there!

I received a call from this number 866-353-1549, with a guy speaking with a very heavy indian accent claiming to be an IRS agent ID # 52061 and with the name Paul Nixon. He told me that the police will be at my doorstep within 30 minutes if I don't pay them the taxes I owe them. I know the irs and that's not how they function. This is a fraudulent group of scam artists. Beware of any calls from this number or any number or anyone claiming to be from the IRS. It's pretty easy to confirm with the IRS. Be careful....don't give any personal information.

I received the same call as Georges in the above comment.  Yes, surely a scam.  If this person had been at my door I would have called the police at that moment.  Absolutely do not give out your info.  Beware of their not-so-clever scamming tricks.

I just got off the phone with these scam artists!!!

"Jim Carter" (such an American name for someone who has a massive Indian accent) as he called himself left me a message yesterday and today telling me he was from the IRS and that I had to call him back immediately at that 866 number. I call back and he tells me I owe the IRS $3,584 because I filed fraudulently. I started questioning him stating I never received a notice and he tells me that the IRS came to my house, he then proceeds to rattle off my address, and that it's my fault I wasn't home. I called him out on that and he was very belligerent and started to have a major attitude with me. I hung up the phone on him.

Then I called the same number back and asked if I was speaking with "Jim Carter" and he said "No this is ..... Ummmm.... Paul Dixon" I called him out on his lie and told him that he should be disgusted with himself preying on innocent people. I told him there is a special place in hell for him and he that he should rot in hell for all eternity and then I hung up.  :)

I just got the same message from this person whose accent was very thick, difficult to understand, saying that he was calling from the 'Dept. of Tax Audit ' and there were legal fees that had been placed against my name and that if I didn't call back in 2 hours then I would be solely responsible for those fees. Then leaves 866-353-1549 as his call back number, which doesn't work.  I talked to my phone company and they said that it sounded like a scam but no way to back trace the number or the envelope information that was with the message in my voice mail system.

I also received a call from this number from a man with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be Adam Spencer. He was also quite belligerent and very pushy. Even called me back three times after I hung up on him asking me why I kept hanging up on him!  Very pushy and asking for my husband's cell phone number so he could contact him directly! Awful group of people who are committing this scam!

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying my husband was being investigated by the IRS for the amount of $3,490.  'Alfred Smith' claimed that he was authorized to contact the state authorities and have an arrest warrant issued for him.  I asked if he could provide more details.  He told me that the call was being recorded and that I should not interrupt because time was of the essence.  He listed off an impressive number of charges and said that our house, debit cards, and cars could be seized (extra surprising since we are renters).  Amazingly, if I was able to pay the amount, he would mark our file as 'closed'.  I asked if there was a way to obtain outside verification (via a website or another phone number) because the call sounded suspect.  He said that if I was going to take that tone, he was going to have to end the call.  He hung up on me.

This 866 number by the name Alfred kept calling my poor grandmother's cell phone. She spoke little to no English, and had ask me to call this number. So I did. I called 866-353-1549. A man with a heavy Indian accent picked up. He was very rude and sounded hurried, like I was wasting his time. I said I was calling on behalf of my grandmother. Alred was his name, he told me to basically F*ck off, after he had ask what my telephone number was. And for me to stop prank calling them. What's crazy is this is my first phone call to this sketchy number, asking my grandmother for private information. Good thing she doesnt understand English well, or else these scam artist could have gotten what they called for. Alfred was rude over the phone, he raised his voice and started threating me now for calling. I told him to F*ck off.

Logged onto my computer. googled that number, and now I'm not the only one putting in my 2 cent about this scam artist.

Ok Got a call at the house and my 10 year son answers the phone, sounds important, so he provides the caller with my wife's work number. He Calls her and she gets worried and calls me at work. My wife, claimed we had 45 minutes to pay a bill or they were coming to my office to arrest me. Right away I smell a rat. I call him and he asked me if I had a lawyer because I was about to get arrested. So I start asking him some questions and he tells me I owe $845 because there was a miscalculation in my taxes from 2004-2014. I Asked for documentation and he indicated an IRS agent was sent to my house and provides a time and date, which was in the middle of the day and not it is my problem. You can tell he is calling from a cheap call center, so I keep pushing with questions and he can't answer them. I hang up and google the number I found this page with the same guy's name listed. NOW I call back and I am looking to expose this guy. I get some else and I ask for Paul Nixon or Nickleson because I caught him changing his name. This guy claims to be Paul supervisor, so I tell him I am recording the phone call and his tune changes real fast and I ask him his name and he indicates Henry I ask for a last name and he does not provide it.  I tell him I am coming for him and his group and he hangs up on me. Now I am going to the media and I am not going to quit until I get results.
