Caller said company was RPM, and he calls about a collection on a Sprint contract. Tired to verify my address but it didn't match his records. Said I will be removed from their list. Will see.

i have the same call. They call my mother's land line and will not tell her what the call is about or even their company name. i called them back and they do not answer. Weeks before i even had an issue with my bill, some from rpm called about my sprint land line--- I only have a cell phone. She wanted my social security number, phone number, payment detail etc.

Get this on my cell phone once a day, only rings a few times then they hang up. I have tried to call them back they always put me on hold. When I did talk to someone the said my address didn't match? So I just hung up.

States Sprint Provider and wants a call back, no chance of that.

I wish I could block this number like I do with my spam emails.

Not even mine, my sister's second phone. Cingular is her provider not Sprint.

Same complaint as above.  Just received a new cell phone number and the day after I get the phone I start getting three or four calls a day from 866-367-1873 and 425-686-3016. It appears their both from the same company.  Has anybody had any luck puting a stop to it?

They just called my work phone and asked for Crystal. I asked "Crystal Who"
She said "Oh it sounds like a I have reached a work enviroment" Then stated my last name. I said that she was not in (since I am Crystal and I am trying to figure out who the hell this is) and If I could take a message.
Gave the number 1-866-367-1873 and then I said "Whom should I say is calling?" She hesitated and then said Jeanine from RPM. And I said thank you she will give you a call at her earliest convenence. And Hung Up....I have no idea who thes folks are...The only big bill I have is my car note and that is with captiol one. Most people her are saying they are with Sprint...I HAVE VERIZON

I think everyone should start calling the number as much as they can. It is a toll free, which means they pay for every call. If everyone reading this calls them daily, we may be able to cause them enough confusion that they stop calling. Just a thought.

This is indeed a collection agency. I've been called several times about an old Sprint bill I owe.

This is a collection agancy. My sister emailed me a couple of weeks ago informing me that a lady by the name of Stephanie would like to speak with me and left the phone number. They keep calling me about a Sprint bill that I owe. However, I will be paying Sprint what I owe since they are the ones who keep sending the statement as a reminder. I don't trust RPM and I won't speak to them or give them any of my information.

I have been getting a call from 866-367-1873 and 425-686-3016.  They are from the same company calling apparently collecting fir Sprint accounts.  They call numerous times a day.  Even if you blocjk them they manage to come through as private.  Does anyone have any other suggestions because I am fed up at this point.

RPH collects for other companies too...not just Sprint. They are contracted by whoever hires them to collect on debt. This is why they are calling...to collect.

I canceled a Sprint cellphone account on June 19th, 2007...no problem. Sprint acknowledged that that month was paid for and they now owed me $28.-- for the unused portion of the month which they would remit. On Aug 5th I started receiving phone calls from RPM (no additional I.D.).

I returned first phone message and was told they were a collection agency for Sprint and that I owed them $88. They would not tell me what it was for. I told them to mail me a detailed bill and that I would pay if charges were warranted. I have received nothing.

I have contacted Sprint from customer service (thats a joke) all the way through refinance and finally Corporate. Sprint has verified my account balance is Zero and no charges are due and cannot explain why RPM is involved.

RPM appears to be a rogue agency with someone inside Sprint improperly passing them Sprint customer information on their own. They call 2-3 times a day (computer generated...not a real person)asking that I hold for the next aviable operator.

I simply hang up.

I found some information on the Ripoff Report website that this company is collecting for MCI World.com. I called them but they were closed on the weekend. I called RPM below, which maybe is the corporate office and not the the collection idiots that are making the calls. A woman answered and was very polite. Took my home number they have been calling (I heard typing) and promised they would stop calling here. They gave me the name they are looking for and it is the one and the same deadbeat I get calls about every now and then. She is somewhere around because I was getting calls from the local supermarket about a bounced check (I shop there too) a couple of months ago. Call them and see what happens.

I have the same story as Nene on Aug. 6, 2007, if I owe Sprint I will be paying Sprint I told RPM but they still call.

I got calls from Sprint I told them that the person they are looking for doesn't work here. Then I started getting calls from that number, they say I have a call for you and hang up. They call 3-4 times a day and even on weekends. So I called that number directly and the lady said she'd take my name off the list, we'll see if they do.

I called this # to setup payment arrangements for the $200 I owed to have my Sprint service disconnected. I called on 8/30 and told them I would call back on 9/6 and make a payment. They claim if you pay the bal they will turn your phone back on......since I called them on 8/30 they call the # I called them from several times a day. I spoke w/ them once and informed the rep that I called them to make an arrangement and I would call them back when I said. I am still getting calls. Ridiculous.

They call everyday even on Sunday. If and I still have Sprint (nextel). So what the hell are they calling for????

I got calls from them, too.  I cancelled my Sprint account several months ago.  I knew I would have a cancellation fee I'd have to pay.  I got a statement from them, then moved and through all the chaos, misplaced the statement.  I called Sprint back and asked them for another copy of my final bill.  They informed me they'd sent my account to RPM and gave me their number.  I called the number.  I got a bad feeling right away because there was horrendous noise in the background at their end.  It didn't sound like I was talking to a business.  They started threatening me, telling me I had to pay the account that day over the phone.  I asked them to send me a paper bill so I could verify who they are.  They told me they are not required by law to send me a bill!  Unbelievable!  They refused to send me a paper bill and kept repeating I had to pay the account right then over the phone, or they would come after me, screw up my credit, throw me in jail...  Just bluffing and trying to scare me.  I got so angry and demanded that they put me through to a manager/supervisor.  I supposedly got a supervisor on the line and I told him I wanted a paper bill.  Same thing.  They're not required by law to send me one.  I told him he was a crook.  After I said that, then he agreed to send me a paper bill.  He also told me I had 30 days to pay the bill.  Well, of course, the statement never came.  I called them back today and asked them "Where's the statement?"  And they said, "Oh, we're sorry.  Your account has been sent to another collection agency since you didn't pay the bill."  I told them that they'd told me I had 30 days to pay the bill and it hadn't been anywhere near 30 days.  Maybe 10 days.  Nonetheless, it had been sent to another agency.  I called Sprint then and said, "You're going to take my money for this bill.  I am NOT giving my $$ to some fly-by-night collection agency."  It took some convincing, but I finally convinced them to take my payment themselves instead of referring me to the new collection agency.  It's done.  It's paid and I managed to get to it before it got reported to the credit bureau.  After reading all these posts, I'm SO glad I didn't sent any $$ to RPM.  Sprint has some shady business practices, which is why I cancelled the account with them in first place.

I have been getting calls from 4256863016 within the past week. Every single time it was an automatic computerized voice asking for a "Robert" because they had an important message for him. It said to press 1 if I was Robert or press 2 if I was not. The other times I didn't press anything and just hung up, but this morning (yes they did call just now) I decided to see what would happen. I pressed 2 (hopefully doesn't harm me in any way) and then it continued to say that I should inform Robert that he should call the 866-367-1873 with a reference code. Is there a way that we can stop this? Or at least block them?
