This number is calling my house every 10 to 15 minutes and leaving messages on my answering machine, that is overloading the machine where it can not accept other messages.

they just called my phone again. isn't there a law about HARASSMENT??? the calls were 2 hours and 14 minutes apart.

Does anyone know who these people are, it's very annoying they ring your phone like a stalker. And the nation wide do not call list has got to be a joke.

Get two calls every day. Only recorded voice. How to get it to stop? This has been for the last 2 months. I don't want to pay for this!

I have called this damn company a number of times requesting they remove my nember, I have even blocked this number, however, they have many to call from. I am tired of being harrassed by these idiots. what can be done about this. I am on the do not call list as well.
last calls received, all day yesterday and as soon as I checked my voice mail this morning. what a pain.

Maybe we can call our phone companies. T mobile told me to file a police report as long as you have the number they are calling from. I understand that with enough complaints they can loose the dial tone. Just a thought and I think I will do just that!

This is a collection agency for Capital One.  Most annoying. Asks for address and SSN.  Beligerent.

Everything is going global.There is notthing to worry about.Address and SSN are asked for verification purpose and cut things short.This number is not a scam.They do Help You.

I keep receiving calls from this # 6-8 times per day, no message is left - who are they a telemarketer or bill collector ?? Does anyone know,-- Thank you

This number is from the Northland Group (7831 Glenroy Road, Suite 250, Edina, MN 55439 / Toll Free: 800-800-8191), a collections agency.  They follow the same protocol as all the others.  Unfortunately, there is a knucle-head out there with my first and last name who evidently owes a lot of people a lot of money from a lot of accounts.  We were gettting 4-5 calls per day from different collections companies on land line and sometimes up to 2 per day on cell phone for weeks at a time over a couple of years.  And we have not ever had any outstanding debts!  What finally worked for us was I contacted my state and federal legislators and the attorney general's office of my state.  I was put in touch with the office of consumer affairs and I filed complaints on three of the worst offenders: Portfolio Recovery, Allied Interstate, and National Recovery (NRA).  The dispute resolution specialist of the office of consumer affairs contacted the legal affairs people of the collections agencies and had my numbers removed from all accounts it was associated with.  I had nearly 3 months of total peace from these piranhas!  Then, in the past week, these folks have started calling.  So I was "nice" and made them verify I was not who they were looking for (I gave them no identifying information).  Once the agent confirmed my number would be removed, I told him this: "Well make sure it's removed from all accounts it's associated with.  Any further contact from your company and you and your legal department will be contacted by the Attorney General's office.  They've already shut several of you down from calling me and they're more than willing to do it again."  I then repeated this statement about 4 other times.  I actually had him confirm that he understood what I was saying.  All-in-all, very decent interaction.  But that's because I know I have public servants who have successfully advocated on my behalf.  I hope your public officials are as honorable as the ones I've had the pleasure to interact with...they truly helped restore peace to my home and that will not be violated again...at least not without repercussions.  Good luck to you as these collections folks either get put out of business or are forced to do business a different way...that's why the legislators and government officials got involved.

These people call me two to three times a day and are very nasty.  I don't know who they are and they want info from me which I will not give them.  They call early morning and late at night.  I am on the do not call list which is a joke.

keeps call cell and hanging up

This group talked me into signing up for auto payments from my account twice monthly for $50 for a Capital One acct.  After a year of paying them, I had zero correspondence, zero updates, and zero knowledge of my current account status.  I tried calling the numbers provided and never got through to anyone.  I went to the bank, and they looked up the ACH draft and gave me a phone number.  The bank had no other information.  It was a dead end.  My bank advised me to have the auto draft canceled -- that I'm not the first one this happened to.  Number one:  No good numbers -- even for the bank.  Number two:  no letters and Number three:  Where is this money going?  I canceled, plus the bank was able to refund me up to 3 or 4 back payments as well and I've never looked back.  After about 2-3 weeks I received one very mean, harassing call from my "account manager."  I explained my side and they denied that the numbers were bad.  Well after 3 straight weeks of trying to find someone to talk to, I would say they are not good numbers.  I say watch out for Northland Group.  They are a bigger group and seem to think they don't have to follow the rules of collection.  My advice is to pay directly to Capital One.

its 7.24 on 12-08-10 I received this call. They also call me in the morning, I didnt pick up on both occasions.
