I received a text asking me to call this number and claiming to be Chase Bank Credit Cards.  When I called the number they asked me for my social security number on a recorded message at which time I hung up.

Watch out!  It's a total scam.  They try to get your credit card information or bank account information.  In my case they sent a text saying my Wells Fargo account needs immediate attention and I should call this number.  Funny thing is that I don't have and never have had a Wells Fargo account.  They're just crooks.  I would use some more colorful language to describe how I feel about them, but the site won't permit profanity.  You get my drift.

I received the text at 9:00 pm on a Saturday night. It said my Compass Account needed immediate attention. I don't have a Compass account. How stupid do they think we are? This is not the first time I have received this text message. On the other occasions the text stated a different bank.

I just received a text, 'Attention needed. Please contact 866-374-8440. Wells Fargo important message'.
It is Memorial Day...banks are not open!
I do not have an account with Wells Fargo Bank!
These are thugs who are trying to steal identification /account data from people who believe these messages!
A bank/credit card, etc would never send a text!
This has been reported to fraud division FBI.

I just received a text 10 minutes ago. It said 'Attention needed. Please contact 866-374-8440. Wells Fargo important message'.   Like others have reported, I do not even have a Wells Fargo account.  

I received a call from the same number about a wells Fargo limited account. I don't have a account with them.

I just got a text from them, asking me to call the number about my Bank of America account.  I do have a BofA account, but based on these other reports, I am classifying this as a scam.

I also received a text telling me to call this number about a BoA account. It's a scam.

I got a text from this number over the weekend and said that my Compass Bank account needed attention.  I don't have Compass Bank.  So I played along and gave it a fake social and a fake debit card number and it said that my new card had been authorized...what a bunch of idiots!!!  Probably some POS in Nigeria!

I just received a text saying my attention was needed- please contact 866-374-8440 from Bank Of America.  I did not call or respond but I have reported this to BOA.

Got a text from them then 3 mins later wife got same texts claiming to be bank of America. call was computer generated BECAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE BUT 5 NUMBERS

Received a text message:

Your Attention is needed:  Please contact BankOfAmerica 866-374-8440

The text came from "6245" and said i should contact "BankOfAmerica" which made me think this was fraud...which obviously it is. Clearly a scam.

Received a text 'BankOfAmerica Important Notification', with a phone number of 8663748440, which I have seen numerous times on junk phone messages.

I just got a message with the same text regarding BankOfAmerica.  got suspicious from the way it was spelled.  I do not have any accounts with Bank of America.   To whom do we report this

I received the text also which read Your Attention is Needed.  Please Contact 866-374-8440 Bank of America. Important Message.  My daughter received the exact same text message one minute later.   I called Bank of America to report this.  THIS IS A SCAM!!!  I assume these low life scum are trying to get some unsuspecting person to give out personal information.  Do not respond, and report the incident to your bank.

I just received the same text message regarding Bank of America.  I assumed it was a scam but logged on here just to make sure.
