Left a message on my voicemail someone from "NCN"
assuming this is some type of collection call.

1-866-379-8621 has called several times.  I will NEVER ANSWER calls from an 800, 866 number, so they might as well give up.  Companies who market this way have S _ _ T for brains.  When will they wise up?

If you get a call from these low lifes DO NOT ANSWER IT. They are the scumbags that give Debt Collection a bad name. No manners, rude, will not listen, call you names, threaten you, tell other people at your place of employment that they are Debt Collectors, call you 3-4 times a day, yell, swear, and will not stop talking long enough for you so say anything to them. If you put them on hold or hang up on them, they just keep calling and calling.  I tried on several occasions to talk to them but they don't listen and just keep yelling and threatening. If you get a call from them, record the conversation for your own protection. Their manager told me "We can alter our recording to say anything we want" They should be put out of business. I hope there is a nice place in hell reserved for these [***] clowns. By the way, the debt (which wasn't personally mine) was satisfied but this scumbag company claimed it wasn't and kept calling me a liar among other names.

Here you will find a basic outline, province by province, as to what are acceptable practices by the collection agents. At the bottom of each page is the reference ( for the actual legal garble) as to which portion of the Debt Collection and Repayment Regulation Act they have simplified. It is against their own code of conduct to harass or belittle, or to inform anyone, other than the debtor, as to the nature of the call....this means they are NOT allowed, illegal even, to tell anyone, other than the debtor, who owes what to whom.
A friend of mine had a snotty agent contact her, at which point she politely read off every point of rule in which the collector was breaking. She has never received a call back.

To "Tired of Calls". Just read the .pdf in your link on Canadian Debt practices. Excellent read for Province by Province. Doesn't seem to stop the "Zombie Debt" collectors. Strongly suggest any Canadians keep a copy of this booklet.

Keep getting messages "It is imperative that you call EDS NCN immediately..." I have no unpaid debts. I called them once and asked them to take me off their list to no avail. I want them to stop.

Please advise on how we (upstanding professional adults)  can get these calls to stop .  I will be taking this to an Investigative Journalist very soon if the calls do not cease

They call me 5 times a day. I have not answered and the first voice mail they have left said "you called and left a message for me to call you please call me back at XXXXXXXX ext XXXXX reference number XXXXX" I have never talked to them don't know who they are looking for and they don't say a name.

Keep calling me from automated system. They fail to identify my name. It seems the message left to nobody and to nowhere.They keep insisting to call them back immediately. I'm debt free,I owe nothing to nobody.
I wish I talked to them,but anytime I tried,there was an automated message.What a scum!

This number calls our home multiple times everyday.  At this point we've answered multiple times, and there is no option to be removed from their calling list.  These calls need to stop.  We have signed up to the Canadian no call list, and this number somehow keeps calling.  We find them harassing at this point.
