This number was a robocall from my insurer, Regence Blue Cross, reminding me to get a flu shot this year.

I received a call from this number and they were trying to sell my 11 year old son pot.  I blocked the call number.  The next day they tried several times to call again.  Who is behind these calls.  Plus, I am on the do-not-call-registry, so they should not be calling.

I keep getting called by 866-384-6799. They do not leave a message.  When I finally answered, it was a automated message from Regence Blue Shield asking for my name.  I replied that I do not talk to machines and hung up.  This was on Saturday. On Sunday morning at 7:00 my phone rings. I wake up and answer it. And they hang up on me.  This is some type of wierd calling. I am calling Blue cross on Monday.@800-552-0733 to see if this their calling me.   If this is Blue Cross, this is a new low.

In my robomessage, the caller did not identify themself, but the first part of the message was cut off due to their incompetent technology that cannot ascertain the difference between a recorded voice mail message and a real person.  But it was a blathering call about getting a flue shot.  I kind of figured it was Blue Cross, and I agree with someone else, this is a new low.

I called the number back to see who it was.  I was answered with a recorded message asking for the 7 digit number left in the message to me.  I did NOT have a 7 digit number and you couldn't get anywhere without this 7 digit number.  

It seems that when you "opt out" of these calls, somehow, the company "loses" your opt out. When you ask why they "lost" your "opt out," the standard "pat" answer is, "we had a computer upgrade."
