Got a message from this James guy today. Is this a scam? No personal info was asked for when I called back.

I also got a call from a guy called james today he told to that a case as bee filed against me in my county he did not mention my name he told me to call him at the said number other wise my employer ect would be called.

Called myself and husband claiming that a case has been filed with my county. Said we needed to call back today or they would contact employer and references. No company name or anything given.

This guy called and said his name was James, wouldnt give the company he was calling with etc. I gave the phone to Sandy (who he asked for) and he was really rude to her and wouldnt tell her any information either. He then kept telling her if she hung up he would just keep calling back! What a dick! Then she asked to be removed from the calling list so he transferred her, and about 5 minutes of back and forth with some other lady (including asking if she was ___ ____ and then is your social security number ____ , which is wasnt) , they said they would remove her.. I guess people actually correct them and give them their real social security number? Fishing for info, and they are rude as hell.

this guy James also called me saying I owed them for money in which my ex wife opened an account back in 2012 while we were still married. Said it had done accumulated to $6200.00, but if I took care of it today that it could be paid for with only $1500.00. Said it wouldn't go against my credit, when he emailed me the info it looked real phony. He then called me back and said go ahead and give me your credit card number and we will take care of this today. I said well I will get you a money order or cashiers check and he stated o we can't accept those. Well I told him where he could go cause I done figured out he was a scam artist. The other number from the email which was sent to me is 855-212-4260. Something needs to be done to scammers like this!

This man named James has called my family and people that I know that would never be listed as a contact for me. He is doing his homework. He said I have a bad check and a professional would not be telling people this. He said he is going to sue me and has drove my family crazy calling so I am contacting an attorney to see what I can have done. I feel this man is a scam. He called last year for my husband trying to get money for another reason.

I just got a call from so called "James", too.  He told me if I will settle for my daughter it will be a much lower amount than if she calls.  He got rude and agressive when I told him that I don't take care of my daughter's issues (if she had any).  He said, "you mean you do 't care to help your daughter" and then went into this spill about all the bad stuff that will happen to my daughter if I don't settle for her.  Said if we wait and my daughter calls them, he can't, by law offer her a deal.

A guy named burgs called and said he is from a law firm and they have charged me with criminal charges ( not true
