- Ashley replies to Ted| 2 repliesTed- same exact thing happened to us today! A cc debt from 11 yrs ago when in college. They were rude and unwilling to give much info about who they were. They also refused to email/mail me documentation stating the claim. Supposedly I will be served tomorrow... We'll see.
- PDK replies to AshleyWell were you served. I received a call today for a debt form 12 yrs ago that I settled on. The guy that called today said the card was opened in 2002.
- anniea guy from there called and said he was a private investigator, and had several complaints filed against me, and don't I want to know what they are....then today another one called me, saying it was in my best interest to call them back '

- Krystal| 1 replyThis is a scam! They called and stated that I was going to be served tomorrow with papers. They said I am being sued for a large sum of money over a credit card that I had when I was 18 and in college. I paid that card off and closed it when I was 19. I knew it was false. He tried to get me to give him my credit card numbers and debit card numbers, and when I refused to do so, he became completely IRATE. He said I was going to be arrested, and hung up on me when I asked for proof of the bill. He said the company name was URG and that his name was SEAN MASON. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!!! They will try to convince you that you owe the money by providing information about you. This guy knew my credit cards and their limits, my vehicle, my bank and my husbands place of employment. Good god!
- AnitaI keep getting this call too. I will not listen to them anymore. They are looking for someone that I don't even know!
- Jacqueline| 4 repliesThe calls started last week, they called my place of business and the next day they called my ex-husband.
Likewise I was told that I owed a past due collection account in the amount of $12,417 (for a Providian credit card opened in 2000 and went to collections in 2005) and that I would be served tomorrow between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm. After speaking with Sean Mason I was told that I was the 3rd person today that refused to comply and that they will take it to the next step (whatever that may be), the guy was beyond rude and ended conversation with me saying that I will be making his mortgage payment next month. All I could do was say WOW.- Caller: I did not get their name

And I needed to contact them with a claim #. I called 866-385-3552 and spoke to 3 different people saying I owed master card $2,441 and I was being sued by UN something. They claimed to have bought the debt. And a sheriffs were coming to serve me. They only had my old address. They wanted my bank info and when I said no he became very rude claim I was going to be server and thanks for making him more money then hung up on me...
- Caller: UN. "something"
- Bethany replies to Fernando| 1 replyDo not give these people anything! Dont even acknowledge the debt, if you owe it. Read up on Zombie debts and fair collection practices. Most of these debts are past the statute of limitations but if you pay them ANYTHING the time resets. These companies lie to try and scare you into paying something. They usually buy these debts for pennies on the dollar. Dont let them scare you or intimidate you.
- anonymous replies to BethanyIn some states, admitting the debt resets the clock even if you don't pay them anything so admit nothing, conversation may be taped.
- Katie| 1 replyDoes anyone know how to get contact information for these idiots at "URG"? I have a not so nice little letter I would like to shove down one of their throats but can't seem to find ANYTHING about them.... I haven't lived with my mother in 10+ years and today they called HER CELL PHONE!!!!!! They call me constantly from restricted numbers then leave messages for me to call them back which of course I WILL NOT DO!!!!! Either way, if someone has information such as a mailing address that would be FANTASTIC!!!!! :)
