they are a collection agency very rude. I settled this debt in september they have been calling my work and home repeatedly since novemer 28th. today I called them back I explained to the rep that this has been paid he started shouting and saying I dont believe you and hung up called back got this other guy said to them You quit calling me at work and at home I have paid this off he said we will continue calling you until you have proof and also hung up on me.  These people are the rudest and most inconsedirate people I have ever delt with once I fax this to them I plan to sue them for undue harrassment. The company name is cbv

well like normal   they been calling other ppl instead of me...concider whatever bill it was paid    and never do that again      ill sue the panties off the lil witch...

I got a call saying I have an outstanding bill of 911. for telus which is untrue. I said I wanted infsent because I believe this is fraud. She said, "we'll just keep it on your credit then" and hung up. NO collection agancy goes away that fast. I have a funny feeling something else is going on.

They will never say what they are calling about and the number isn't reconized as a Canadian number, does anyone know who they are???? I think they have something to do with TELUS

The message was difficult to understand, very unprofessional. He said call me tonight I have good news.
If it's a collection agency they must be having a good time calling grandpa too who is VERY hard of hearing!

yeah they called me to and i paid all my bills so who knows what they want but im not giving them what i want the hell with them dont they have somthing better do do with there lives

got message on my voicemail on 08-Nov-2010 with 5+ minutes of funky intro music (to keep answering machine rolling, I'd say) & occasional disembodied voice saying, "You are being contacted no a very importanty business manner.  We apologize for the delay in connecting you to an agent."
Then Ava (ah-va, not ay-va) came on, gave her # as (866) 387-8751 with extention 11027 & my "claim number"

Since Danny at least recited his name, phone, & my "claim#" coherently, I called him back only to be told that this number does not accept calls from my area -- f*** them then! I just won $100,000 at the casino this week, & was going to pay my debts, but now I think I'll take some friends out partying instead!

I have received repeated calls from 1 866 387 8751. They always call during the day and I  have tried calling back.  I give the claim number and my name and they say I'm the wrong person so they wont release information.  then they call again the next day!!!

How did you block the number???

Please have this firm, whoever they are, stop calling my number!

It automatically disconnects any blacklisted number.

i got a call from them too it's hard to understand them saying they are cbv or cpb or cbp always saying to call them for a very important claim before it escalates further. i haven;t answered the phone and just let them leave messages. if i owe money to someone let them prove it on my credit bureau or suppeona me to court. i dont trust them or believe them ill let my caller id be the judge if i should answer the phone. i do owe a few companies money but neither of them are cbv and if i do owe them money why don;t they state on the message who it;s owing too?

they called my saying they were calling about a very interesting opportunity and i should call them back right away.....guess what? I googled you first, jerk. And I ain't NO dummy

I have received several calls over the last 10 days, which I do not answer so they leave a message saying " we are sorry to keep you waiting, please hold".  Today the message was different.  She said  her name was Ehva, calling from CBV, Vancouver and that a claim has been filed against me (she got my initial wrong) and to call her back at 1-866-387-8751, ext.  11027 and to quote claim no.011011560027.  From what I have read on other posts, they apparently claim to be a collection company,  Good luck with that as I know this cannot be true as I do have any past due bills.  Also, I never answer a call from an "unknown" number.

I got a call from EVA at 11027 too. They trick you into giving your name and try to accept debt that is not yours.  My name is similar to the person they were collecting on and they tried to change that bill into my name.  Called telus and found out the account was opened before I was born.  1-866-387-8751 was the number I was called from.  I have now had put a fraud alert on my exifax account.  I am sure they do this purposely just to collect debt.
They tried very hard to get my SIN#.  They also had done a credit check on me.  I have involved the police now.

This number keeps calling and leaving a message for "Clement Stewart" which is nothing even remotely close to my name or anyone else in my family. Once I answered and told them they have the wrong number, but they started to call again.  

Next time, I'll just answer and hang up so they can't even leave a message...

Its CBV Collections Ltd at 814- Richards St. in Vancouver. This agency uses intimidation tactics trying to frighten information out of you. Received a call several months ago and after repeated requests from me to identify who the collection action was for the company I had been leasing a car from. I let them know I had been laid off from my job and contacted the leasing company that i wouldnt be able to make my payments and to come get the vehicle. Numerous months had passed and the leasing company never came for the car and was using this CBV Collections to collect outstanding payments after i had notified the company to get the vehicle. I told the agent that I was on ei and unable to pay because I had to use the money to provide for my children.The agent said they had run a credit check on me and I obviously was one of those people who didnt pay my bills. This agent began lecturing me on how if I had managed my money better I wouldnt be in this position. Told her that I had always paid my bills but couldnt anticipate being laid off and though I did owe the balance from our contract I shouldnt have to pay from the time I contacted the leasing company to come and collect the car. The agent began screaming at me that I was a irresponsible and never paid my bills and thats when I hung up. Have been receiving calls several times a day from unknown name unknown number for 3 months and just started receiving calls from this 1-866-387-8751 number. Guess what, still on ei and still no extra funds. If they can run a credit check why cant they figure out Im on EI and they cant get 'blood from a stone' regardless of all the humiliation and intimadation tactics.
