Rec'd yet another call (here in Southern Ontario) from Ändrew"at NCN (1-866-388-1821)today at 5:15 pm......looking for a person that doesn't live here! He state"s ït's imperative you return my call regarding file # 88792**..........yeah, whatever! Have rec'd many calls like this from similiar company names over the last 6 months all looking for a variation of this name and file #.  Ï refuse to acknowledge their call---they have my phone # so I'm sure they can find my address.............so mail me the details!!

Left a message, didn't identify themselves personally, said they were calling from NCN, on behalf of The Bank Of Nova Scotia, didn't state who they were looking for, or reference a file #, and stated that it was urgent that we call them back at 1-866-388-1821 and press 2 for a live agent, as there was a small window of opportunity to resolve this voluntarily. We contacted Scotiabank, and they stated that they do not use a 3rd party company to collect their debts. We knew we didn't owe them anything, but just wanted to make sure. If you receive a call from this company, ignore it.

My experience exactly the same as "jersey39" above:  "calling from NCN on behalf of Bank of Nova Scotia", no name given who they were looking for, no file #, etc.  I also contacted my local Scotiabank, but got an uninformed employee who didn't want to do any thing about anything practical, like look up my account to see if there could possibly be any issues connected with it!  She actually told me to call the number back and see what they wanted!

They called here looking for my cousin. Didnot identify themselves and asked a bunch of questions regarding her!! Unfortunately I gave too much info before I asked whom was calling!! They should be charged.

Please stop calling so much .. If I burn my supper , because of asking the the phone ,   Boy !, won't I be mad !!!

This number called me today at 7:28 AM... ASKING FOR A PERSON, I said: YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT TIME IT IS" they asked again and said it was an urgent matter! " I said "NOT AT 7:30AM IT ISN'T" and i hung up the phone!!!

Received call saying They were a collection agency working to collect an unpaid bill for Bell Canada. A woman wanted to verify my address.Then transfered me to to another woman who said I had a small balance of $10.80 that was overdue to bell. When I asked why I had never received anything in the mail about this for months and months and that bell should send me another bill so I can see what I owe she hung up. Funny thing is< I have been with Rogers phone for over 2 years.

There is a law on both sides of the border that you can have them charged for harassment calls and you can charge them 500.00 a call no lie you can ......told them
That the person on the other end knew about wht I said and in his own words he said "" OH [***] "" I also told him that I have my lawyer right beside me would you like to speak to him... He replies no thank you I like my job .. I say u do for wht to call us piss us off when we can't talk or try too speak to them and ask them Qs and they say wht ever they do and we can't ask them talk about double sided they ask we can't they can go suck the sweat off a dead monkeys balls .... So yup lawyer heard all and we r going to take them to court for harassment calls .....  

I answered the call and no one spoke.  If they're going to call they should be prepared to speak... just saying.....

Just received call from that number.  No message left.  Almost certainly collection agency.

Scammer, they pretended to be from my Phone Service Provider, which is something easily found online from a phone number. They tried to make me think I owed a lot of money and that it was hurting my credit score. The call was sketchy from the start so I hung up.

Got a call from a person claiming to be calling from freedom mobile. They asked to confirm D.O.B stating I owed $400 to Freedom. I have never been a customer of freedom so I told them to F off then the person got aggressive stating they would keep calling me, so I asked for them to tell me the address on file, they told me Hornby Street in Vancouver BC. I do not live and have never lived in that city. So I told them to [***] off again. They tried to intimidate me by stating my credit score will be ruined etc.. I told them to F off and stop calling me. Judging by what has been written before these people have been scam calling for over a decade
