- monet67I got a call from this number but they would not indentify themselves.
- John| 3 repliesThis is from National Action Financial services. I am not sure if is a scam company or a collection agency.
They leave the same crooked sounding message with the same voice on my answering machine using different names and phone numbers On another forum people were complaining because they were collecting for late Blockbuster video's from several years ago or you owe money on a closed Chase account. Sounds like a scam.
If you call them don't give out your name or any other information. Let them tell you who they are calling for. Once you say your name they can make up some claim that you owe debt but they can also get your name from the phone book. Make them put any claims in writing and do not pay for debt over the phone.
It stinks as much as the car warranty scam phone calls from two years ago.
Every time they call file a complaint with the www.donotcall.gov and other places.- Caller: National Action Finacial Services
- AnonDebt collectors calling the previous owner of my phone number. They will not let up. They keep promising to take my number out of their system but I am now forced to go to the BBB and report this harassment.

- E. CareyThe beginning of the message from this so-called debt collection agency was garbled, and so I had no idea who the call was for. They said they had tried several times to contact "me" but this is the first time I ever had a call from this particular person, and I could not even understand the caller's name. It sounded recorded. I don't trust anyone who calls from a "collection agency" that I am unfamiliar with in the first place. So I never respond unless I am sure it is a valid debt that I owe. In the past I have always worked out the debt with the company or business directly. I refuse to deal with these loan sharks.

If you decide to call them don't give out your name since they probably have the wrong number. Make them tell you who they are calling.
If they know your name then make them put any debt they claim you owe in writing. Do NOT admit to owing any debt and make them mail you a letter first. If you get a letter it will probably be so vague that you don't know what the debt is for. Make them provide more information and they probably can't prove you owe anything or it is way past the statute of limitations. Even if you are honest and owe the debt these creeps don't deserve to be paid just because of the way they act.
Do not give out your bank account number, social security number or credit card number over the phone. They may try high pressure tactics to scare you and get you to pay over the phone but don't do it. It the conversation sounds even a little bit threatening file a police report.- Caller: NAFS

- FDMVoice mail on cell phone today from 866-392-2178. First part of the pre-recorded message is cut off, it starts in the middle of a phone number for a Mr. "Watonga" from National Action Financial Services. No info as to who they are looking for or what the debt is.

- ChrisThis call was from National Action Financial Services. It is a debt collector. I called the number back and they were looking for someone that probably had my phone number before I did. They said they will talk me off the call list. I didn't have to provide them with any information. They asked me if my name was Mr. _____ and when I said no that was all it took to get off the list.

- RondaThey have called me about four times and I get the partial message saying this is a call from a debt collector. I don't owe anyone so I called the number back and all of their representatives are busy. It has to be a scam of some sort.

- Victoria RogersKeep receiving calls from National Action Financial Services for over a year. They give me a callback number of 866-392-2178. This number just gets you a recording of a full mailbox. No one ever answers the phone no matter when you call them. I've looked up the company's real number on 2 occasions (716) 565-1020 and spoke to a representative. Both times they said I owed money for some music CD I neither requested or received. They claimed that they would file a dispute on my behalf. The didn't, because I keep getting the same annoying phone call to call 866-392-2178, which again leads to a recording.

- OneBuckFilmsI attempted to leave a VM at the number Victoria Rogers left, but nobody ever answers.
I have had a couple of messages from them. I found another number (716) 650-6240, and left a VM there.- Caller: National Action Financial services

- CeeThese scammers have been phoning me since I got my new cell number a month and a half ago. I have tried returning their calls but am never able to speak to a live person. I have NO overdue payments and no unpaid debts. I suspect that these are robo calls made in order to get personal financial information.
