Jacob - 8 Jul 2008He said he was an operator and asked if I knew how to use relay. I asked who he has but he said he didn't have that information with him. I hung up. he called back 4 more times around 2:30 am saying it over and over again,

Drew - 3 Sep 2008It's called IP-relay.. its for deaf people to call friends on the phone. What someone does is they get online and give and operator a number to call.. they then type in what they want to say and the operator relays it.. My friends use it all the time to mess with me.. I wouldnt be worried if i got a call from this number, it is usually your friends messing with you.

chris - 20 Jun 2008yeah i got a call from this number and it was some lady saying that she was going to relay to me what some caller told her to say, and to reply very slowly so she could relay it to this other person. then she started insulting me and talking about how i was a "cocks-man". creepy

The man then said his name was Paul Smith, he went to Cornell, and that he wanted to have my babies. He also said he watches me in my window at night

Columbus Ohio - 22 Sep 2007This number called THREE 15 year olds, a group of friends, telling them there location and went so far as to tell them what color shirt one f them had one. I think this has something to do with a gps maybe? I think the number is attached to a kind of services instead of one person

Creaped out - 4 Oct 2007The number showed up at 245AM on 3 Oct. The man on the other end said he was some ".com" company (I was sleepy)and he was an interpreter for a person who was having trouble calling me. The "caller" typed in the msg and the interpreter spoke on their behalf. He even knew my name. The caller hung up after typing in "hey". The interpreter apologized and hung up.

C - 19 Nov 2007Number called here at 2:30pm. Operator said it was a call from a relay service. I said I didnt want to accept the call since no one that knows us has this number as it was ringing in on a new line. He said *Caller says Hi This is Judy........* I just hung up on them.

litebluesneaks - 16 Dec 2007i711 is a form of IP Relay. It is legitimately used by people who are deaf or hard of hearing. However it is based on a website so anyone can use it including hearing kids who think it's funny to prank call their friends. The operator doesn't know who is calling you. It could be anybody who has your phone number, friend, family member, enemy, etc. BTW, if you have classified ads on the internet selling whatever you may get calls from i711 or other IP Relay companies. Most likely it's someone from a foreign country trying to scam you by getting you to cash a bogus check and wire them money. DON'T fall for it! SERIOUSLY! If you don't feel right about it, my suggestion is to be nice to the relay operator and just hang up each time you receive a relay call.
