Caller got my personal info.  When I asked who they are and what business they were with , "Dwayne" refused to answer my question and then hung up.  Called and reported to FTC.  Everyone should.  If they receive enough complaints they will investigate.

i got the same call tonight!  said they were from EMC, then Pioneer Recovery, I asked for documentation and then a supervisor (cough, cough) got on the phone...  I recorded the call, they said that I illegally recorded it.... i called the authorities.....  lots of information on these cons!!!!!

Most of the males there are world class a$$holes. This is a company that bought my student loan. Jasmine and Brian are the ones you want to talk to if your loan has been sold. They are a legit company with some nasty tactics until you get the right person on the phone.

On 4/6/12, I received a phone message from Dwayne, who wanted me to call him at (866) 394-4505 and to reference #1422181.  I did not call him back.  I am surprised that he left a message.  Most of the phony calls that I receive hang up when my answering machine answers.

I received the call today (6/12/2012) from Michelle (Kevin?) at 866-394-4505 with "reference to Brian L."  She wanted me to call back and reference #142181.  She said:  "You were used in my office as a contact reference."  I did not call back.

1 866 394 4505 called yesterday and left a muttered message.  I just called back, and it is a debt collector called Pioneer Recovery.    Who knows what they wanted, but the message was weird

Some loser female left a voicemail for someone we dont know. SHe was talking a 100 miles per hour, sounded like she may be tweeking on speed..... trashy losers these are SCAM ARTISTS DONT ANSWER AND DONT CALL THEM BACK!
No one in our house has ANY debts, period!  Called for wrong person and made up the lamest name ever!!!!  SCUMBAG LOSERS!! lol

These people keep calling my elderly father about a debt that doesn't even exist in his name!!  I agree, they act like total jerks.

A man named Peter Flanagan left a message on my home phone saying he was calling about my friend (and gave her full name) saying that she listed me as her "reference" and gave me a reference number to call him back.  I called back, and got an automated answer, that did not tell me where I had called, but said "your call will be recorded."  So I hung up.  We have no idea who these people are, and my friend did not give them my name as a reference.

Got a message on my cell phone from "Peter Flanagan" who said my son gave my name as a reference and left a reference number.  I called back from a different phone because I thought it was a prospective employer seeking a reference from my son to get a job.  Mr. Flanagan said he wanted to verify personal information that he had about my son, but wouldn't tell me who he represented or why he had this information. I told him that we had nothing further to discuss.

News flash idiot! Your son is in debt. You don't like it, then tell your loser of a son to get off his [***] and pay his loans back! Duh!

Actually I do know they are genuine debt collectors on student loans. They can't reference a debt when calling relatives because it is illegal to disclose the call is about a debt without the person's consent. They are pioneer credit recovery. A legitimate collection agency with an A+ rating with the BBB. Owned by Sallie Mae. If people don't like calls for relatives tell them to pay their loans or watch their wages be garnished or taxes offset. Federal loans don't need court orders. It's because of lazy losers that would rather pay lawyers thousands of money to try to catch illegal purposes that aren't illegal they just think they are. They are the reason this country is in debt. Get off your lazy [***] and pay your bills.

They called me today and left a message about being a collection company.  I called back and asked how they got my information and the woman said someone walked into their office and gave them my information for collections.  They have my name and asked me to verify myself by giving them my birthday, which I refused.  They are located in NY, which was very suspicious to me bc I do not live there.  I asked them to give me the birth year and last 4 digit of the SSN of this "person" they're trying looking for and it was definitely not me.  I'm not sure if this is a scam, but the lady said she'll mark the data as incorrect and take me off the list.

We divorced 20+ years ago and she remarried 10 years ago. I have no idea when she went back to school and most difinitely did not use me and my new work cell phone as a reference. Oh the fun continues. They called my older sister on her private cell phone WTF?

called me about a  unpaid services  from scnectdy cardio , a visit i had in sept...2019, ph call comes though in dec of 2020....claming i   was delinquent in payment... thois is with blue cross, currently checking up on all this.
