When I ordered the tea I was charged $6.95 for S/H for a 14 days trial. I ordered on 1/6/08 & received the tea on 1/14/08. I started to use the tea, still trying to decide if I wanted to keep it. I decided to cancel & called the company. I talked to a rep. named Mark who told me I had to cancel by email so he gave me his email address to do so. All this was within the 14 day trial. I printed my email as proof & thought the matter was resolved. Not so, my bank acct. was debited $19.95 on 1/28/08 for Living Lean which I didn't recognize. Then to make matters worse, $54.95 was debited from my bank acct. on 2/20/08 for a 2 month supply of the tea. What happened to the email cancellation? I Googled the phone number & read about all these other people who were having the same problems with Wu-Yi Diet Tea Company, I went to their website & found the "Chat with a Customer Service Rep" on the right side of the page. So I clicked & started a chat with Joseph who answered all my questions & told me exactly when I could receive the credits to my account. You can also print the whole chat as proof of what you were promised. I am now waiting to see if the company sends the refunds. I decided to try the chat since reading about the difficulties everyone was having contacting the customer service department. Hope this helps.

Lori, I am just wondering if you ever received the credits you were promised. I have been charged the $19.95 Living Lean thing but not yet the $54.95 for two more boxes of tea. I have sent an email canceling any future shipments of the tea to a Mark, at the customer service center and plan on calling them Monday. If I have to I will just cancel that CC and have my bank send me one with a new billing code. I wonder if that tea is even from China (I doubt it). They must be making a mint and they obviously know they are a scam or they would have included a contact number with the charge on my card. Just wondering, I want to know what I can expect. Thanks in advance.

Supposedly, I was one of the chosen ones that was suppose to get the initially shipment of tea free.  All I had to pay for was the shipping of $6.95.  The following is from my order confirmation:

"Thank you for your order! You will have 2 full weeks after you receive your tea to evaluate the product and see the results for yourself before you are ever billed. If you’re still not sure after that, you are still fully covered by our 60-Day Full Money Back Guarantee (which doesn’t start until after the 2 full weeks)."

Before I could receive the initial shipment, I was charged $37.00.  I felt  scammed, so I called and could not reach anyone. So I went on the site an found an email address.  I demanded a refund.  They respond and indicated that they would issue a refund, but the refund would be less a 15% restocking fee.  I knew it was a scam then since I had never received the product.  After I finally got my refund of the $6.95 and the $37, I thought it was over and then I began noticing charges for $19.95 for living lean.  I could not recall ordering anything.  So I called the number, no information was available. I went on-line and starting looking for the number and came across this site.  This was so helpful because I had not idea it was connected to wu-yi.  I went back to my order confirmation found the reference to the Living Lean Membership.  I have demanded a refund of the unauthorized charges and I plan to follow up with every governing authority to expose their thievery.

By the way, after I had gotten my refund, this product was exposed as a scam on the Mike and Juliet show in late December.

Before I could get the tea, I was charge $37.00 for the full order.

          BUYERS BEWARE

I had this on my statement as well, and didnt realize that it was associated with this stupid tea...the tea that doesn't even work. I just spoke with Daniel and cancelled my tea subscription and he informed me to speak with living lean. I think that this is horrible business practice and you should be fully aware if there is going to be a reoccuring charge on your statement and you should have the opprotunity to opt out of that charge. I work for a credit card company and see this on a daily basis that numerous different companies sneak this in there, and one customer even said that there might be a class action law suit about companies that do this...so keep your eyes out. Good luck to every one I hope that you all get your money back.

Well guess what?  I ordered the tea and paid 4.95 for shipping and handling and on the same day, I came here and read the reviews that people left here...so I immediately cancelled my credit card and am being issued another one with a different number.  I wont be scammed and if I dont get the tea, at least I would have only lost 5 dollars.  Also you can get the same tea on ebay without having to go through this company.

I just wonder if the tea really works.

I have also been charged $19.95 for "Living Lean" and didn't know where it came from. Wu-Yi has stolen money from my account twice.  I have tried calling several numbers and of course no answer.  I have just written them a letter to demand my money returned and I am reporting them to the Attorney General in Nevada and in Michigan where I reside.  I ordered the tea and cencelled before the shipment arrived.  Of course they said it was too late and when it did arrive I returned it unopened. So I was out of $6.95 shipping and then was charged for another shipment!  I was credited with $31.45 but it took 4 emails.  I cannot find their shipping address. Can anyone help me out?  I need this for the formal complaints.  I hope others also file complaints with their Attorney Generals in their state.

I just went searching for this whole Living Lean Las Vegas thing because it came up as an alert for an online purchase which I did not make. So did you have any luck in getting them to stop or did you have to report fraud to all of your accounts and have to start over?  As for the Wu-Yi thing I have also been getting that for a couple of months now trying to decide if I can find it cheaper or not. Until 30 minutes ago I had never had the "living lean" thing be charged to my account. Question though. If that address is legit for the tea then that makes no sense because the address on my tea shipments has been from a different state. You see I live within a 5 mile radius of that Ontario Mills Address for the tea and I can almost assure you that it is a Post office Box from Mail Boxes Excetra

I would like to  let everyone know that the tea is a total scam. It is plain, old everyday Oolong tea. Which is a good tea for general health, but in NO way is magic or for weight loss. I have sold bulk teas from my store for years and I knew this was a scam as soon as I read the label on the tea when it came. I sent it right back, but got charged the re-stocking fee and now I have to deal with the living lean issues you all have also. Charges, monthly, with no authorization. This is SO worng!

I think the best thing to do is cancel your card and get a new one. I called Living Lean and demanded my refund for $19.95 and they said it would be processed in 3-5 business days. I also made sure to cancel with Wu-Yi source who also provided me with a RMA#. I will be cancelling my credit card and requesting a new one though just as soon as I get the $19.95 refunded. I too fell into the WuYi tea scam. I ordered the free trial & received not only one but two orders. To my shock, we were charged again $29.95 plus fees for both orders. I contacted WuYi Source a short while ago to find out the new charges for my account are actually for the full month supply I have already received. These monthly charges would continue unless I cancelled. I cancelled and found out to receive a refund, I would need to return the tea I have. I was provided an address in CA to return the tee to as well as an RMA number for both orders.  From what I am seeing, my advise is to return unused tea to receive refunds. Then send a letter to the BBB regarding them and LivingLean. I cannot reach LivingLean until Monday, I will call them at that time to cancel my membership. If I can do so in writing I will attach a copy of my letter to the BBB regarding their business practices.

I found this site by doing research after noticing a charge of only $1.25 from Living Lean in Los Vegas yesterday on my online banking account, along with the $4.95 shipping charge that I was expecting. I'm glad I found this site. After reading all your comments, I emailed my bank while these transactions were still pending and had them reversed. Then, just now I went on the live chat thing with Brandon on the Wu Yi web site and had a conversation. They claimed I was charged $19.95. I didn't argue with them on that note, but it was very obvious that they were not typing, but rather copy and pasting pre-written replys to the same complaints that they get all day long from people. When I advised them they were commiting fraud, they had a pre-written reply attesting to their honesty, and claimed they had many happy customers testomonials on their web site. To which I said "yeah, and it also says they were paid for those testimonials, so what does that prove?" Anyway, I really am appalled by any company who blantantly tricks people and attempts to steal like this. They claim they have taken care of it and no more charges will be made from Living Lean, and they also will not send the tea. We will see. I will be watching my bank account like a hawk for the next few months, and my bank has advised me to file a complaint if it happens again. If anyone is gathering up documentation for a pending lawsuit, I'll be glad to forward my live chat transcripts over to you. Write me at outdoorsyguy1953@yahoo.com and I'll send them to whoever would like to see these people put out of business and put in jail where they belong. I would also suggest that others communicate with them on the live chat thing and email the transcripts back to themselves to document everything. Good luck everyone!

I too ordered the WuYi tea.  This was the 2nd time I had tried it.  I thought perhaps I didn't follow the regiment correctly and would give it a second try.  The first time around, I received my sample and another order and then cancelled.  This time I never received the sample but was billed for both the sample and the next order. When I called, WuYi said they would happily cancel and refund my money.  This did happen.  Then I received a deduction for the "living lean" program.  I called my bank but they couldn't do anything except suggest that I cancel my debit card and apply for another one.  Didn't want all that trouble so I tried calling the living lean number.  I was fortunate enough to get through to a rep who told me that the enrollment was part of the order from WuYi tea ("advice on dieting") which I don't remember and why would I pay $19.95 for "dieting tips" as they called it.  In any case, it sounded at first that I was stuck with at least the first charge, but when I told them that I never received my tea order and had cancelled that, they stated that a refund for $19.95 would be in 7-10 days and that my account would be cancelled.  They gave me a confirmation number, so I'll be checking my account for the refund otherwise will call again.  The number I used was 866-396-5711

I also purchased the WuYi but got a complete refund, then I called Living Lean after finding out who they were and the charges for two months of $19.95.  The guy on the phone said absolutely they could not refund my money, but I asked for a manager and he got a little smart with me I kept pressing the issue and told him a second time what I wanted after he asked me what I wanted and he pretended he was a manager.  I said sir are you a manger and then I was put on hold for a manager for a long long time but finally got a manager and first she said they could refund me only $19.95 and I told her that it was fraudulent what they were doing all the time remaining calm and simply firmly stating the facts then she paused and said that they would refund me the two months at 19.95 each.  I just hung up with her and she gave me a confirmation number and said it would be three days until it was refunded.  We'll see if I actually get my money back.  When I researched and finally found the paragraph where it was laughingly "giving" me a trial month and then would charge me nineteen dollars and ninety five cents (spelled out in words once again deceptive).  That's just ridiculous.  Good luck.

Hi, the same thing happened to me.  I had a charge last month for Living Lean which I didn't recognize and assumed I ordered something I forgot about.  I mentioned it to my husband and we kind of forgot about it.  Then the next month same charge showed up, so I looked up Living Lean and came across this site. I'm not telling anyone to do this, but this is what we did. We called the bank and cancelled my card so they cannot charge us again. I was in panic mode when all of you said they charge again 54.95.  The bank is going to dispute the last charge of 19.95, there is nothing they can do about the last one, but they assured us we would at least get this last charge back.  It's such a shame that there are so many people out there that spend their lives cheating others.

I just saw the $19.95 charge on my account for "Living Lean" and went back to the website and clicked on the "Live help" button. I chatted with "Cyrus" who confirmed that Living Lean subscription is mandatory with your tea purchase, to which I of course said was total baloney. He told me to call the 866 number, and I said that I would, but I wanted him to tell me why I never got a response when I e-mailed "markcustomerservice@gmail.com" THREE times. Cyrus just kept saying "ma'am, please just call the number". I kept pressing him and finally he said "oh, I am sorry to inform you, but we have changed our e-mail address to teahelp@usa.com". OK???? I told him that was just awful business and what, do they change their e-mail address every other day so that poor saps like me exceed their trial period while trying to cancel their account on a fake e-mail address? He just said how sorry he was. What a bunch of CRAP! I finally called the 866 number and spoke to a very nice guy named Mandon. He explained that yes, Living Lean is an honest company and their "mandatory" subscription info can be found on the half page of the tea site just before you put your credit card info in (where there is a pic of a woman with a tape measure around her waist). Either that is more crap or I really did miss it. Somehow I still think that even if Living Lean WAS mentioned, they put the charge of $19.95 is SUPER FINE print. Anyway, Mandon told me that he would be happy to refund the $19.95, and that I would see no more charges on my account. So we shall see!

Obviously Wu-Yi Source is a well organized scam. Their chat room option is a nice touch, it gives one the feeling you are talking with a real rep. Funny thing though, in perusing numerous Google entries regarding this company I noticed whenever the chat option is mentioned, and I have about six instances, it is never the same name given by the person with whom you are chatting. They must have a room full of people there - wherever "there" is. Most people seem to be dealing with an address in Las Vegas but when we asked for a return address it was in Ontario, CA. They have not refunded $54.95 for a returned shipment but instead charged us an additional $59.99 with even bothering to send another shipment of tea. We have canceled the credit card and referred this matter to authorities.

I also received a charge to my credit card.  Call your bank and request that they reverse the transaction and credit your account with the funds.  Let them know that it is a transaction that you do not recognize. I have contacted Wu Yi Tea and requested my account be closed.  I don't know how IW/Living Lean got my number other than through Wu-Yi Tea.

I do feel bad for everyone who has gotten taken by this company, I got nailed too. If you take the time to read the terms and conditions link at the very bottom, it does go into detail about the auto enrollment in living lean and the continued charges. I am thankful that I only lost about $70 dollars. For those that are expecting refunds, good luck, I hope you get them.

I just found a charge for 19.95 from IW Living Lean Las Vegas.  I disputed the charge with my bank and they temporarily credited my account while they perform an investigation.  I just got home and googled Living lean.  From your messages, I just discovered it was linked to Wu Yi Tea.  I too had bought 2 orders of the tea.  I was under the impression that it was a 30 day trial offer and that I was only charged for shipping and handling for the first order - then, if I liked it, I would be charged the regular price for any additional orders.  I had found 2 charges of 29.95 on my credit card so I had been expecting a new shipment in the mail.  I am concerned that they are going to charge me for future month's supplies.
I tried calling the number listed on my credit card statement for the Living Lean Las Vegas.  After 3 rings, it gave me the fax machine sound.  How do we get out of this scam?  I am embarrassed to have become a victim of such a scam.

I am working on tring to get my refund back for the tea that I ordered as well. I too got 2 orders of tea from Wu Yi. The only reason I got 2 shipments is because the day after i ordered the "free trial" online I recieved an e-mail saying that my order was incomplete and that I needed to do it again so I did. In about a week I recieved both boxes of tea. Later I noticed that 2 charges for $6.95 were debited from my account. I didn't think much of it till I was charged the 29.95 for each shipment at that time I called and cancelled my subscriptions. Albert from Wu Yi customer service said to send the tea back via ups or usps in order to get my refund. He also told me to call back in about two days with the tracking number to my package to prove I sent the tea back. He told me when they recieve the tea I will get my money back. He also said since I opened one of the boxes that I will only get 85% of what I was charged for that box and I will get back a 100% of what I was charged for the unopened box. As for the Living Lean charge I called and I could not my money back because I did not call back within the "trial" period, but I cancelled my subscription to them as well. When I called customer service for Living Lean I was informed that I was being charged to visit and use their website and she asked me if I would like to visit the site befor I cancelled. It doesn't make sense to pay to visit a website. The whole thing is giving me a migraine. After what I hearing from all of you I hope to get my money back. I am also going to call and report them to the FTC and see what they can do about it.

I didn't recognize it so I did a search and immediately found this site. Thanks for the heads-up! I called the number 866-396-5711 and talked to someone named "melissa". First she said that it was clearly mentioned on the website, so I asked her to show me where. We went through a few pages and didn't see it. Then she said that Wu-Yi is no longer charging for it. I told her I wanted a refund, she said she could do it, then she said she couldn't at this time. Whatever! I finally got a confirmation # for the refund and cancellation. We'll see what happens! They also have a message on their website in the "About Us" link about this issue.

I just contacted my bank to dispute the charge of $19.95.  My representive at the bank said that he has dealt with this before and that this is not a charge for the tea.  It is a charge for an online website service where you can log on to get information about losing weight.  He said that though we cancel the product from coming we also have to contact the company to cancel the online website charge as well.  Still in the process of doing this.  You can call 866-396-5711 to cancel the so called online website that you automatically get signed up for when you buy the tea.  Though you may cancle the order for the tea you must also call this number to cancle the online service.  Hopes this helps all of you.  What a ripoff.

You are now chatting with 'Roger'

Roger: Welcome to Wu-Yi Source, I hope you have had a great day so far. I am happy to assist you with any questions you might have regarding the tea, which has helped countless people around the globe.

you: I wish I could say the same. I am being charge 19.95 a month by living lean and upon investigation see that there are hundreds of people that have had the same experience when buying this product from you. I am extremely pissed to say the least and I am not the only one. what are you going to do about this?

Roger: Living Lean is a motivational weight loss program and it is kind of like a subscription over the internet. Its like a motivational speaker which helps you to loose weight.

Roger: When you order our product, you'll automatically subscribe for the Living Lean subscription, but there is no need to worry. You can cancel your Living Lean subscription at anytime.

Roger: It is a mandatory,When you purchase the tea you have to purchase this along with tea.

you: So how do I cancel

Roger: If you have questions or concerns regarding your program with Living Lean you will need to contact their customer service at 1-866-396-5711, where you will be assisted by a Living Lean representative (they are available 9 AM to 9 PM MST on weekdays).

you: As much as I'd like to believe this is a live chat..... I seriously doubt it.

Roger: This is a live chat

Roger: And I am a real person my name is Roger Rodricks.

you: then would you kindly tell me where in the ordering process this "subscription" is printed? There are literally hundreds of people that I have come across that had no idea about this.

Roger: This is clearly mention in our website.

      you: where?

      you: I'm on it now

      Roger: Just a moment please.

      you: no problem

Roger: Living Lean is clearly mention in our purchase page.

Roger: At the last page of purchasing page

Roger: I hope I was of assistance, is there anything else I can help you with?

you: That's convenient. Here's a suggestion, PUT IT ON THE FRONT PAGE! If it took you that long to find it, what makes you think the average consumer is going to see it? But I'm sure that was the idea, right? Not good business, and I am currently warning others of this website and now make it my mission to make sure other people are sucked in to this. Is there a problem with putting this on the front page?

Roger: We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Roger: But, it is clearly mention in our purchasing page.

you: Yep, that's what I thought. Like I said, bad business. Not illegal...... Just not very ethical....... bad business...... And I am so not alone on this......

I'm wondering hasn't anyone turned them into to the Better Business Bureau?  I will be as well as turning them into the State of Nevada Business Board.  Although it may sound like threats to them, both the BBA and the State of Nevada will pursue it, especially with all the complaints.

At this point I was livid as it is becoming so clear that this is a huge scam.  I am going to all the places in the 'net and spread the word about this company.  I am calling my credit card provider, cancelling my card and getting a new one. Let's hope that someone do something about these rip off artists in Nevada.

I just read all pages of this blog, I just found the charge of 19.95 for the Living Lean on my bank statement this month.  Its the first charge I've recieved from them, I should consider myself lucky compared to others. I called talking to Julius (who had an attidue)he told me to go to the website to cancel. I then told him, I couldn't find the website and Wu-Yi Tea gave me this number to cancel. I was insistant I was going to cancel as much as he wasn't going to cancel me.  He put me on hold, took my info and gave me a confirmation #.
