An agent from NCO called claiming it was on behalf of Capital One. He stated that my account was 190 days past due and would be charged off. I informed him that his information was incorrect, my account was in fact current, and he pressed me for personal information such as my actual card number, SS # and birthday. I would not give it to him and instead asked for a number to call him back. He did give me the legitimate NCO number.

A phone call to Capital One proved his information to be false.
Perhaps someone is using the name NCO to attempt to collect personal information? A person feeling dismayed by their claim may provide any information to clear up the supposed debt.

This number called a home where my daughter is a border, has no access to the phone and no connection to the address ( uses a P.O.Box) looking for  her brother, with whom she has had no contact with in several years..

This is a phone number for Capital 1 in Montrial, Canada.
They have a department that "auto dials" people who renig on loans.
They have called me over and over, trying to get me to pay some debt that is not mine, even though I don't even have a Capital 1 card, and never have, and have explained that they have the wrong person. They are supposed to block my number off of their auto dialer. We'll see.

I just made a payment through NCO for my capital one dept and it shows on my capital one account its self that it was taken out. Not fake. Just another normal annoying Arab bill collector

NCO Financial on behalf of Capital One. I told them they could NOT record the call, the Pakistani got mad and hung up.

I just ignore their phone calls cause they are very annoying.

ANNOYING phone calls, have 6 numbers all related to NCO Financial, call all hours of the day and nite, total harrassment, have no bills, dont owe anyone, cant anything be done to stop these calls.....PLEASE...

Just got my first call. Based upon this board's responses, I hope they don't make me nuts. I do not have any Capital One cards. They did not leave a message.

Just got my cell phone turned on yesterday. First call I recieve is from these people. They asked for me by name, not a wrong number. Sounded arab on the other end. Cant be sure. Called the number back, got a woman but couldnt understand her.

NCO is a debt collector but has very rude people on the other end of the phone line.  They have called our home using at least ten different numbers and area codes, and only two of the numbers actually say NCO Finan on the caller ID.  All of the other numbers say UNAVAILABLE.  They call on an average of 12 times per day.  The people who call are always either rude or difficult to understand.

Receive phone calls NUMEROUS times daily from NCO or UNAVAILABLE. I answered one time and the recording said that "all operators are busy at this time...please hold"
HELLOOOOO...you call me and ask ME to hold?
Don't think so.
I have blocked all of their numbers and they have so many that you can't keep up with them.
THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED !!!
