Our business office is getting calls from 866-410-1791. The name they say to contact is Mary Moyer regarding a collection debt.
This is a new number for our office. It is NOT a residential number.
We explain to the people, but still receive the phone calls.

TO bad we have no clue who you are looking for is, nor did we need to know what their debt is. You'd think after I disconnect during their little pause this morning @ 8:10 am they'd get the message...but NO they've called back 4 x just today !

First of all, their leaving a recorded message is against the law. Not to mention that when I called in I was literally YELLED at like I was a DOG. This is AMERICA, and if Islam can build a mosque and we can't even say a word against it, then these idiots can't violate REAL LAWS ment to protect Tax paying citizens.

When I asked them to send me proof of an $60 outstanding invoice, they said "If you pay now, over the phone, by credit card - we won't report the 3 credit bureaus"
When I asked them "If they were crazy (pay them over the phone, ha) they hung up on me.

to piss them off and confuse them, just keep saying huh???  and what?? make them repeat things till they cant take it and hang up on you.

They keep calling me over and over and leaving recorded messages.  I have no idea why they are calling...I know that I have dealt with all outstanding debts, so I dont get it.  I just keep ignoring the call.  Is there anything I can do to block this number?

Don't know who this is.  I called it back and they said Escalate.

Collections for mostly medical billing. Escallate, LLC. They provide all sorts of communication between medical offices and patients including collections.

I just received a call from this number, I do not answer calls if I do not know the number. I do not care if they are a debt collector if I had a job that provided insurance I would no problem paying my medical bills. Therefore I do not so it may take me longer to pay so quit calling.  Especially during dinner.

Even when you try to pay a little at a time. They cant take that, they still have to call and harress you.

With my phone I can save their number (as if they were a friend Ha, Ha!), and then set their ring tone to "No Tone".  SO I DON'T HAVE TO HEAR THEM CALL ANYMORE!   Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.......
I hope you can do the same.  It doesn't stop them, but you don't have to hear them pester you.

You can also do this for "RESTRICTED" if you do not get a lot of calls from people you really need to talk to.

I forgot - if they'd like to come with garbage bags and take a lot of the stuff I don't want any more, they could certainly do that and count the value toward my alleged "debt".

you can block their phone number from calling you by contacting your cellphone provider and providing them with the phone number and ask them to block it for you

Called back and it says "Escalade"?  Whoever that is?  I waited for them to answer and they must have caller ID because they knew who was calling them back.  It was for my husband or son??  Don't know, don't care!  If they can't leave a message when they call, then I will call them back and just not say a thing!   IDIOTS!! They can call all they want.  Time to BLOCK their number with my Panasonic phone!  I love this phone!!!

That doesn't always work because I was going to block an ex-girlfriend's number from my son's cell phone.  I would have had to give cell phone company all the numbers to ACCEPT and then DENY.  Along with this problem of accept and deny calls was that you could only have a certain amount of phone numbers.  Sooooo if you had 24 numbers you wanted to keep there would be a chance you can only do 20.

They keep calling me when I'm sleeping and leave me a voice mail of an operator

This company has been calling my cell saying they are trying to collect a medical debt. I don't have any medical debt or any other delinquent debt for that matter! Since they threatened to report to credit bureaus I thought I'd better call them. Yes, they immediately asked for my birthday. When I told "Courtney" I couldn't give that since I didn't know them and had no knowledge of debt, she literally became irate, yelled at me and said "then I can't help you" and that they would report me to 3 credit bureaus next month and hung up on me! I waited a minute or two, called back to let her know I would be reporting them to their local State's Attorney's office, Better Business Bureau etc and her reply was "go ahead they won' do anything" and hung up. I've never heard of such a company acting like this - if they have a debt to collect (which they don't in my case) why don't they begin with correspondence. And in this age of high tech - they don't need a person's birthday to do a system search of someone they say has a bad debt. They have my name and cell phone for goodness sakes.
