- Marisa| 1 replyIt's Blue Cross Blue Shield Wellness Program
- DCL| 3 repliesShe said it was "Barbara" from Blue Cross Blue Shield volunteer wellness program - or something like that - but gave a different call back number. When I called back she asked for my birth date. I asked why she was calling and she said she needed my birth date in order to find out why she called me. I'm glad the call was recorded "for training" purposes because she needs some.
- Caller: Blue Cross Blue Shield
- SueMy opinion is that this is a scam call that is phishing for personal information. The caller said they were from Blue Cross and asked for my son -- but he moved to another state about 14 years ago and he has never had Blue Cross insurance. So I know the caller was not from Blue Cross and I don't think they got the information from Blue Cross because Blue Cross would have no record of my son. In fact, no one in my family has ever had Blue Cross! I would recommend you not respond to this call or to any call that asks you to call Blue Cross at another number. (The call actually came in under another number, but I was asked to return the call to this one. It appears they are using two numbers, so that you think you are really calling Blue Cross.) Maybe they are just trying to sell you something they think your insurance will cover, and maybe they want to find out enough personal information to steal your identity.
- Caller: NOT Blue Cross
- AkAgree with above. Called me, asked for my wife. When asked the purpose of the call, was told it's was confidential and could only be shared after I provided my personal details. Phishing!
- Caller: Not Blue Cross

- N. SnodgrassCalled to speak with my husband, refused to give information other than “Wellness Program”. They said BCBS of Illinois. We don’t have the insurance 🤷🏻♀️ Scam alert.

- Peter HimpelmannFemale caller said she was from FEP Blue Cross calling to enroll me in Case Management that the call was being recorded for training purposes. Asked for my birth date, which I gave to her, then asked for my address. I told her that she should already have my address, but she said she needed it for identification purposes. I told her that if anyone needed to identify themselves it was her. She called me from telephone number 972-766-9818 but told me I could call her back at the number on the back of my Blu Cross card, 1-866-412-8795. When I checked the back of my card, that 866 number was not listed. I think this was some sort of scam and I hope I didn't divulge too much information by giving up my birth date.
- Caller: Who knows

- Michelle GReceived a call from 972-766-8151 asking me to call this number back. Both numbers appear to be legitimate for BCBS Employee Assistance programs/ support programs. Found this number on several BCBS web pages.
- Caller: Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Call type: Valid
- Eddie S replies to MarisaTired of these scammers calling. Block them, they use ANOTHER ficticious number
- Norma hebl replies to DCL| 2 repliesIf it’s scam
I need to know - BigA replies to Norma heblYou obviously don't want to know that badly since you didn't post any details about the call. Those reports are all 6 years old and even the newer ones are not from this year so who can tell if they are the same calls that you received without your details?
- Pudge replies to Norma heblWell DCL posted more than 6 years ago so not likely that he/she will be back to answer. Why not look up Blue Cross and call the listed number. Even legitimate numbers can be spoofed. Their website is https://www.bcbs.com/
