- michelle| 1 replyjust got call from this number... it was "dave" with Uverse, wanting to switch us over from DSL
anyone else get this same person." he is the only one there, so they know who to direct a call to when we call back"
strange to have a big business with ATT and uverse and he is the ONLY DAVE in this department.- Caller: uverse
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Liz replies to michellejust got call from this number yesterday... it was also "Dave" from Uverse, he wanting to switch us over from DSL .. Strange thing was when I called him back it was an answering machine saying that I had just called AT&T and that they were too busy to get to the phone, to leave them a your name and number and that they would call back.. ATT&T does NOT tell you to leave messages or when you dial an 800 or 866 Fat chance you'll get to talk to the same representative
- LaqueRatt| 5 repliesHey people, listen up. There is ONE SINGLE call center that is calling on behalf of numerous dubious enterprises. Apparently some of what they do is AT&T "related." If you continue to dig though, you'll find this same number is also connected to Direct TV, and is apparently really a collection agency by the name of:
United Collection Bureau Inc
(419) 866-6227
5620 Southwyck Blvd
Toledo, OH
Since they ARE a collection agency, they approach this all with the relentless persistence they are accustomed to using with bad debts. Get it now?
What is happening here is I get calls from 4 or 5 other numbers all in a short time that seem to be coming from the same source. Conclusion? There is ONE source of many, many "scams." If we could shut them down most of these calls would stop. I can tell this is likely the case because some days I get ZERO calls. Other days, I get dozens. All or nothing. So unless telemarketers all take a holiday on Sat and Sun, most Mons, and certain weekdays, then these calls are originating from the same source, which I named. NOW is there ANYBODY reading this who has any pull who can go after these morons? It doesn't seem like reporting them to the federal government has any effect what-so-ever. - Lori JoletWe continue to get calls from this number at our office. We are an air conditioning company and extremely busy this time of year. The guy who continuously calls says he is John Patterson and he claims to just have hung up with my boss and asks for his cell phone every couple of weeks. I ask for a return number so that my boss can call him back and he repeatedly tells me that my boss has all his information and never leaves a phone number or company name. This is very aggravating. This person has called at least 3 times a week for the past two months. This and other solicitors interrupt all day long.
- Caller: Do Not Know
- P. SchwinnThis is another stupid telemarketer. Called @ 9:45 am on 6/3 and again @ 10:33 am on 6/4. Like all the other stupid telemarketers, they listen to our entire greeting message and hang up at he last second as if they think by magic we will be as stupid as they are and pick up the phone !!!!!
- Caller: Toll Free Caller
- Call type: Telemarketer

- JosiahPhone number 1-866-416-6582 called a client of mine telling them that their router was 20 years old. Caller was "Brett"
My client has a new AT&T router for U-verse already.
To note: The "Call Type" field below could use a "scam" entry. I'm using "prank call" as it's the closest match I think.- Caller: "AT&T"
- Call type: Prank
- bobdobolinaCalled my shop after hours. If they had googled my phone number first they would get my shop hours and realize that I am closed and wont answer the phone, idiots.
- Caller: Idiots Inc.
- Call type: Prank
- o2bMy call was from Susan - At&t uverse from DSL on 10/27/14 - 1415 hrs
- jimmy replies to davidSame here they call just to bother me and don't say a dame word.
- KCalls, leaves no message.
- bobIt doesn't matter if you answer the call or not, there is no one there and they don't leave a message. Just a waste of time.
- GailSomeone from this number called the business, asked for the person in charge of the AT&T account, when I said that would be me she said, "hello Me, I'm, Melissa, from AT&T have you switched over from DSL to U-verse?" When I said yes we have she said "great" and hung up. I called back and a man answered the phone, Dave at AT&T and told me that they are phasing out DSL in my area and are calling all the businesses to make sure they have U-verse.
It seemed sketchy to me.- Caller: AT&T
- JayI used to work for a telemarketer hired by at&t. There are tons of "authorized vendors" that can sell, upgrade, etc AT&T services and they can do just that. The only problem is that, they do not coordiate with each other. They are only lawfully allowed to say they are on "behalf of AT&T", bercause they are not really AT&T. Ask them who they actually work for and if you are not intersted, ask them to remove your number from THEIR INTERNAL CALL LIST. There are many of these vendors and you must do this for each one.
- Caller: AT&T vendor
- Call type: Telemarketer
- armed and still dangerous replies to LaqueRatt| 3 repliesThe illinois atty general won't do anything. I tried and they just ignore it. Someone keeps voting her in and it isn't me. I rake the phone across the top of the tv so it sounds like a machine gun in their ear or lay the phone on the radio so they can listen to rush limbaugh or sean hannity.
