I got a call this morning from Startel, LLC 203-274-8586 but the company name is Starion Energy and the representative is Jalysa 866-418-8008 ext 220. Before she started talking good she wanted me to get my PEPCO account number. Of course I did not give it to her, she said that PEPCO buy their energy from their company and her company could save us 15% on our PEPCO. I asked if PEPCO knew they were calling and she said no they did not, but they were acting upon the energy saving bill initiative for the state of Maryland.  I told her that we were not interested and hung up the phone.  If PEPCO did not send you anything about this company being their energy supplier, which they did not, don't give up your information.  It is a faud.

just got a call from them also  wanting to talk about our UI account here in CT.  The female caller was very hesitant when I asked her if there was a number  my husband could  call her back on. She finally admitted that they were from Starion, an alternative electric supplier and could save us 15% off the generation part of our bill.  I told her we all set with our electric  company and hung up on her.   I wish these people would leave us alone.

Mom Jumps out of her skin when the phone rings, only has a phone for emergencies, Essentially, 99% of the several calls a day we get are from telemarketers, because everyone who we'd willingly contact, knows this. We use email.  I'm on the Do not cALL list. We've changed the #, listed it under a false name,  don't have overdue bills, and never give out the #.  The message on the machine normally  says we are on DNC, their call has been logged, do not call back no matter who you are, and harassment charges will be pursued for all telemarketers, even if someone at this # has ever done business with them in the past, if we want to chat, we'll call you,
Yet the same "unavailable"  callers keep it up day after day. we've used up all the blocked numbers allowed and they just keep on calling. complaining to fcc just gets them to change the # they're calling from, the name they scam with, etc. And now they just hang up when the machine picks up.
Dante needs to work on this, design the telemarketer level of hell. . .
Is it illegal to engage in retaliation? I mean. airhorn in the ear, some kind of electronic sabotage where every outgoing call they make gets spammed with 100 incoming calls,  Mom wants to find out who they are and have all their fingers broken . I think she's being too nice.

Call came up on my caller I.D. / Answer machine as unavailable. Girl started right off at 100 words a minute, telling me she could save me 20% guaranteed, and to hurry up and get my statement, so we can get this in and I can start saving money.
She even knew my first name! When she did'nt get and answer, she said hello! Is anybody there?Heard a B/S uttered as the caller hung up.

Just got a call from this number. Same thing, claimed to be able to save money on my electric bill and wanted my account and meter number. Very sketchy to me!  I didn't give it and said I'd call back with that info.  Don't think I'll be calling back, sounds too suspicious. If they wanted to give me a discount they would email us a rebate check or do it in the bill...right?

I got a call from this number.  They claimed to be from National Grid.  I told them I would called them back.  I got 1-866-418-8008 for a call back number and was told to ask for Jeanie ID#3313.  I called National Grid instead and they told me that it was not National Grid.  Just another scam.
