It is a debt collector named FMA Alliance.

called and claimed that I owed $1600. I called Chase to find out (because I thought somebody stole my identity) and Chase confirmed that I owed nothing. Now they still call. I'm sick of these people. Where do I report them?

Call numerous times a day asking for the wrong person....won't stop calling.

Send them a Cease Communication Letter VIA certified mail (with return receipt requested).

If they continue to call after they have received the letter, they can be fined by the FTC up to $1,000.00 PER violation.

They are rude and do not share who they are or who they represent.  It took three calls to them to get an answer who they were.  They work for Chase, but they'll say things like you've been selected to win a ____.  Just hang up and make sure your voicemail does not confirm your identity.

If you want a laugh... Look them up with the Better Business Bureau.

Someone calls from this number non-stop! I'm so sick of it, when I answer the phone all I get is a recording.

Caller leaves a message stating, "if you are the adult member of this household please return call, if not, hang up."  When I called back, they had no record of the call and now they called back and my husband asked who they were looking for, they couldnt tell him other than the person has a Chase Visa card.  Sounds like they are trying to scam money or get payments that belong to Chase Visa..they were told to remove our phone number from their list.

I suspect my brother-in-law gave my phone number to this company for his debt expecting me to pay it.  The company continues to call my phone number even after we inform them that she is my sister and has never lived at this address or phone number.  Very frustrating!  Argh! I will attempt to file the CEASE ALL CALLS document via Certified Letter this week.  Maybe they can start paying me the $1,000 per illegal call afterward and I can pay off my sister's debt!

They keep leaving messages in reference to some weird file number I've never heard of, but when I do answer there's no one there.

FYI- Called Chase and found out my roommates account IS NOT in collections. These people are scam artists, he has been out of work for over a year and paying what he could when he could and he was still active at Chase.  I had noticed that nothing was coming from FMA but he kept getting a statement from Chase.  I think I smell some rats and I am going to write the Federal Trade Commission in regards to being harrassed by these people, even today after he told them last night, if you want the entire amount then go for it, I don't have it, just leave me alone. That when we found out about Chase and it is not in collections.  They keep calling and I keep telling them the matter is taken care of and they keep asking me who I am and I tell them "none of your damn business"  and they hang up.Next call-  I tell them I thought it was going to the next level, that is what your boss Miss Curtis told me, so go.  And they just keep calling. Somehow, I think these people got a list of deliguent accounts from someone inside Chase or maybe even other accounts and are trying to collect on accounts they have not been given.  Just beware, I am writing the Federal Trade Commission now.  I know people have to do their job, but keep it legal folks, sooner or later, your rude, nasty self get what you deserve.

I am having the same problem. My account is withdiscover and they still send me statements. However FMA Alliance (so they say) has callesd and said they now own the debt and are trying to collect. I have ask four times for a letter stating who they are and who they are collecting for. They refuse to write letter (Mail Fraud Federal offense) they just want me to open up my checking account so they can draw out of it. I would think the FMA Allaince is either a fraud company or just being used. Never give anything out base on a phone call or a fax. Get a letter. Investigate. Notify the Post Office if fraud.

They keep calling as they can't get a hold of a family member who owes Chase.They will never respond by mail.To top it off they call on Sunday nights.

Yep, call and ask for my daughter. Do they not expect her to work during the day? I ask who it is, guy gives me a weird name and says he's handling a personal matter for her and he's with FMA and when pressed, he hangs up. We have no idea who it is or why they're calling our cell phone. Beware.
