Man called say's I owed a phone bill from South Western Bell Stated that I owed over $200.00 and today they would cut it in half.He stated that it was from 1995 and the i ask what was the phone number, He gave me some bogus number, It was hard to understand his broke English, I hung up, called the number back, a man with the same voice just said hello, I asked what business this was and it sounded like he said Dallas financial Company,

I put the wrong caller ID number in, it should have been 866-428-9940

I got the same phone call about two hours ago.

Just got a call same people but they changed the numver it was 973-906-7811

Same as you people -EXCEPT they also apparently have my address and my mother's. We received mail stating the same thing something like we owed over $400 from a bill from 10 yrs ago - and they would settle for $50. I read it and laughed because the same company (AESI or AESI I think it was) tried this a few years back and I checked up on them and it was a scam.(They told me back then they would take my driver's license and confiscate my paycheck - none of which has happened - surprise surprise lol) Now they're telling me I owe both verizon - which I NEVER used and AT&T -which again I NEVER USED!! Think back - did any of you get a weird letter first stating you owe a phone company?

Man with a foreign accent, probably Indian, asked for a person who does not reside here, nor do we know the person.  I pressed for the caller for the name of his business.  At first he replied that "this is a diversified financial corporation".  I asked again for the business name, and he replied, "Allied Interstate".

Strangely, this phone number appears as a FAX number for Custom Glass Products in Rogers, MN, south of Minneapolis (link:  www.cgpglass.com/images/about_flash2.swf  .  Put mouse over MN to see the #).  Allied Interstate happens to have a Minneapolis, MN, branch (http://www.manta.com/c/mm2yf55/allied-interstate-inc).

i just got a phone call about an hour ago and i just ignore and they don't leave any msg..if this is from some company they should leave a msg..

Asked for someone that does not live here. I told them they have the wrong #.
They hung up.

Got a call from these bozos.  It was a call center in India.  They said they were from "Allied" something or other.  They asked for some name I had never heard of.  I told them they had the wrong number.  They then tried to get my name!!  There was absolutely no way I was going to tell them that.

this number called me on my cell phone twice at 8:15 am this morning!!!!!!

They keep calling and never leave a message. It doesn't seem to matter what day or time they call. The person sounds like they are from India. Can't anything be done? I am sick of getting these calls and I never had the phone service they are telling me I owe for.

This is driving me insane. I get a ton of calls on both my house phone and my cell phone. From a ton of different numbers. I always google the number and find the kind of post we have here. If the people talk, its always with an accent. They always ask for people that I don't know. Always different names and then hang up. Sometimes they hang up without even talking. What ever it is, it can not be a real business. But, I am getting sick of the calls. I do report them all to "Do not call" and to "TX utility commission" But that doesn't stop them. I just get calls from new numbers. Could someone post HOW to stop it.

I got that same phone call about 30 minutes ago. I don't think I'll get the call again after I finished blasting him the hell out. He didn't get the chance to make me an offer. People please beware of these no good creeps.

Someone from this number called me regarding an alleged debt of a former brother in law. My sister divorced this man 12 years ago! Lived in Texas at the time. He moved back to Arkansas and I returned to Illinois. This is the third time this company has called my number about other people's affairs. WTF?! The company is Allied Interstate.

Received a call from this # this morning at 7:30am. When I answered they hung up.  Got a call yesterday at the same time but their number was blocked so not sure if it was the same number, but we "never" get calls at that time in the morning. Strange that it was 2 days in a row.

We have been receiving calls from this number for over a week now.  They have started to call at 6:30 am and several times thoughout the day.  Same scenario.  An outstanding bill from over 10 years ago, but they do have name and a partial address.  I did look them up and this is a scam, but VERY irritated with the calls at all times of the day!

Repeatedly getting calls - caller display says Toll Free Call but my phone captures the underlying number of 866-428-9940.  The hang up if they get the answering machine of if I pick up the call.  Minutes later 2 or 3 solicitations come in. I suspect they are fronting for a bunch of scams, promos and anyone else who will pay them.

Lately calls have been starting at 7:30 AM so they are violating two FCC rules, one is calling a number on the no call list and the other is the rule on calling times.

I am working with my phone company to block and trap all calls from this number and will pursue an FCC complaint.

When I called the number back, I get an Indian Accented person who always wants to know the nature of the call.  When I ask for a supervisor immediately, they either hang up or they say the supervisor is not available.
