I received a call from this and one other number (866-686-5529) that plays a recorded message with my father's name inserted as the one they're looking for.  After the obligatory "if this is not so-and-so, hang up and disregard this message", it goes on to provide a case number and asks to press 1 to speak to a representative or to call 866-689-4426.  When I checked on this web page for info related to that number, most of the comments indicate that it is a debt collection scam.

Same. Tired of this, easy to block caller but have had family call me directly saying they got a call in my name.

Got a call from these people today -- let it go to voice mail, did not answer/return call. Interestingly enough, it's the same message and claim number that was being left on my voice mail several times a day for the last few days. I eventually blocked the number -- incidentally, the same number that they want me to call them back on. Sorry, not a chance.

Same as above. When I called the number they said they were the legal dept. Asked to how the had my son's number for a contact for my husband I do not know. When we were speaking they said the could not s p eak to me, they requested my husband's number. They called again an hour later, requesting his number. I had already spoke with a dear friend who is our Attorney General and I gave them his number as a return call number. USE CAUTION THIS IS A LARGE SCAM,

Called this # today after a week of calls every day from this number, and finally reached a live person just to be hung up on when I started asking questions. Second call same thing. 3rd call I actually got an opportunity to ask the person I was talking to to remove my number from their call list since they are VERY vague in answering any questions. Said they would....we will see.  Also they stated there is a serious "claim" that needed "my attention" but would not give me any specifics then hung up.

Multiple calls over the past 10 days. When answered it goes to music...no one comes to the phone.  So today I called the Number...1st call the person hung up on me when I asked a question.  2nd call same thing. 3rd call I actually spoke with someone who could not or would not answer any questions. Asked that my # be removed from their list.  She said she would do so...we will see what happens over the next few days.  If strange incidents start occurring thru my phone we will then know this is a fraud scam and where to go from this point.

I got a call on my cell phone from this company which I thought may be legitimate at first.  They said they were a debt recovery company.  Upon questioning them they said their company was called Stark Recovery and the person I was talking to was Samantha Smith.  They said they were trying to collect a debt on a past due loan which is fake.  I have taken out loans but paid every one of them back.  They had a lot of info on me including my actual SS# which is absolutely scary.  I have reported them to internet crime.  I think they got my info from a loan company I used in the past somehow.

I have been receiving calls from 866-689-4426 and 866-429-4382 for over a week now. When they first called they called my work number. I called them back -from my cell phone- since the voice mail sounded legit and it went right to a generic voicemail for a Verizon customer. Tried the number again and a woman answered and hung up. Tried the number again and received the voicemail again. Tried the number a 4th time and spoke to a Lee David or David Lee, I honestly can't remember which way he said his name was. I asked what company he was with and he said Stark Recovery litigation. I started asking more questions and he wasn't answering and kept asking for my name and then finally said, Oh I'm speaking to and said my name. I then hung up. Not sure how he figured out my name since they called my work and I called back from my personal cell phone. Since then they have been calling every day leaving a message on house phone, work phone and even my mother-in-law's phone. I've never used her as a contact for anything so I have no idea how they got her number. I've called back the number several times from different phones and each time it's answered different. The last time a person answered they just answered Law Offices.

This is a large scam going on and they are being mistaken for a legitimate collection company. I called the actual company and spoke to a manager who told me this is happening to hundreds of people and gave me good information and tips. Click on the link to get further info and follow the links they have to report these people to the FBI and hopefully catch these scammers.

I received this call as well.  It begins with "Please hang up now and  disregard this message" and continues to tell me there is a litigation claim against me and leaves me a claim number.  It does not list a company or a company representative.  Further research online brought up many others who DID call this number and found it to be a massive scam.  I will not answer this call, but others who have called back said they are pretending to be debt collectors trying to recover a "massive debt".  Considering I have absolutely no delinquent debt, I knew this was bogus.

I received a call from this number today. Soliciting payment from a loan I never took. Threaten court if I didnt pay today. She hung up on me.

I get at least 5-6 a day goggle 1-800-notes good info. If they call back I tell them I am funeral home and no one needs anything here.

I received a call on my cell  phone from 866-429-4382 yesterday and today. I didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voice mail. When I listened to the message the recording stated that it was for my father and if I wasn't him to disregard. I decided to listen and the recording stated that he needed to call in regard to a claim. It sounded fishy why would I get a call for my father on my cell. I blocked the number. I will inform the authorities.

it's a scam block the number. Guaranteed won't be bothered again.

If this was a legitimate call. After several attempts they would send the information in the u.S. Mail. It's a scam

I have been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis back to back (at least 5xs a day) but, ai never answer because I always Google numbers to see if they are scams especially if I don't recognize them and your comments have been helpful. I live in Nebraska and they have been calling my father's house in Indiana leaving a "case number" with claims to have a serious matter against me. My father already worries about me and to have these nut jobs call him to say they have a serious matter pisses me off!!! I have not called them back because I do not have time to waste on these people. I will just block them.

I recieved a phone call from my step son whom got a call from his mother. My husband's ex wife she doesn't even have our last name anymore. But never the less they have called her home phone a number of times for me. Stating that I took a 400 loan out in 2012 and if I do not pay it back that they are going to send the case to court. I never took out any loan but how in the world they got all my personal information is scary.
