Hello, we we're given two fax numbers for a purchase from craig's list, one was: 1-415-532-1966, the second was the same as the one you mentioned: 1-866-430-6668, do you have any information about the number or the situation?

We were scammed on May 14, 2008 for a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 800 for $2900 + $100 for wiring the money to money gram/western union.  We reported it to our local police station.  We have since spoke with 2 other gentleman in the last 3 weeks that have also been scammed.  We are now hoping if we can all get our info together that the FBI will take over it.  Please email me ASAP @

I just got scammed from an ad on Craig's list for a 4 wheeler. Same deal, wire money to an 'escrow account' and fax a copy to 866-430-6668. It has been less then 48 hours, but police said sorry, nothing they can do. Same amount of money also.

This is a scam fax number. I purchased a Polaris sportsman 800 for 3200.00 from a man by the name of Terry Harper an ebay agent by the name of Larry Wallner picked up the money and I never received the 4 wheeler. Terry claims that he is selling the machine because it was his sons that died in Iraq. He claims that he lives in Red Deer AB Canada if you hear from this scum bag let me know.

I just want to keep the Terry Harper postings going they seem to come up on the front page when doing a search. Terry Harper has been trying to sell various snowmobiles and four wheelers all over the US. A couple of the ones that I know about are a Polaris Sportsman 800, and a kawasaki. Please let me know if you hear from the [***]. Don't fall for the trick that his son died in Iraq. Lastly please do not wire any money to him. The ebay thing that he does looks legit but it is truly a scam.

I have been communcating via e-mail with a Terry Jensen in Red Deer, AB, Canada. He listed a 2005 Yamaha Grizzly 660 ATV for $2900 on Craigslist in Duluth, Mn.
I'm glad I researched his name, and glad I haven't sent any money through Ebay yet as he has requested.
What can be done about this dirtbag?

Terry has the same boat list on craigs list in Ok City.  I'm glad I saw these emails.

So far I am seeing a whole lot of fake ads that this guy is posting but nobody is taking action. I currently am in communications with him via email which is t.jensen@msn.com. I want to do something but don't know who to contact. I did notify craigslist about him.

What I have so far is a 2005 Grizzly 4-wheeler for sale in North Dakota. A 2009 John Deere Mule in Sacramento. A boat in New Jersey. A Sea Doo in South Dakota. Did anybody notice that he uses abbreviations for the states that he has items listed?

I found out some more info on the guy:

It is a Kawaskie Mule that is for sale in Sacramento and now San Francisco.
The Grizzly 4-Wheeler is for sale in North Dakota and Duluth, Minnesota.
A Sea Doo boat in New Jersey and Nashville.
He is also using the name Alex Stam.

The Yamaha Grizzly is gone off the North Dakota post but there is a 2005 Honda Rincon listed for $2,900.00 with a ndk abbreviation that sounds like his MO.

I have received your email regarding the atv. It has only 932 miles and 125 hrs. on it, never had any type of damage or repairs. Always garaged and rarely used. It's still available for sale if interested, price as stated in the ad $2900. Now i am retired and moved to Red Deer, AB, Canada because my wife is originally from here. This was my son's atv, he died two years ago in Iraq, I have no use for the atv, so i decided to sell it. You will get the atv with proper papers, clear title, bill of sale signed by me as well. The quad is still US registered, so you will not have to pay any additional taxes.
