This is a new one that I have not seen.  866-431-5115 returns to NRA this is 5117 so it is just a guess.  I block all my incoming calls with a Digitone Privcy Call Blocker.  The phone rings once then goes off to LaLa land.  what a blessing.  If you do not want to buy the blocker go buy a small air horn and K mart or walmart.  When the caller ids tell him not to call anymore.  The next time the jerk calls let go with the air horn.  It does two important things.  First It loosens all the ear wax for the jerk and second it does discourage further calls from this jerk.

It is from the NRA.  We just got a call at 8:20 pm on a Sunday night of the holiday weekend--geez!

These people are the WORST pains I've ever encountered!  My husband joined about a year ago and after getting several phone calls at all hours of the day and night he finally called them and told them he didn't join to be harassed by phone calls.  The calls stopped for about two weeks and started back up again!  They call from all different numbers and it's absolutely ridiculous!!  It drives me batty and I think his next step is to threaten them with his membership!  What a waste!!

I guess this is the NRA, from what everyone else's posts say.....How do we make them stop? Do we have to cancel our memberships or something? HELP! I luv Edward Cullen!

I too, have been getting calls from this number.  Call rejection will not work for this number as well.  My understanding is that it is through an exchange that they use and the number showing up on caller id is not the actual number.

The dudes keep calling...I don't care that much, its just annoying.

This sounds like my situation, only my husband stopped his membership last year, but they continue to call from 4 or 5 different numbers. He even talked to them one night, said he wasn't going to rejoin and to stop calling us, but they haven't stopped.

Yes they call and don't say anything, my husband made the mistake of sending them $50.00 and right away they started sending envelopes asking for more money and lots of phone calls, funny cause I told him that was going to happen, husbands should listen to their wives, lol

I AM a NRA member and will continue to be. I just don't answer the phone if caller ID comes up toll free. The answering machine screens the rest. I do this for all the pain in the [***] who call. NRA and others are good causes. Their fund raiser are idiots

I screen all my calls an I have an answering machine. If I don't know the number on caller ID I let it ring out to the answering machine. Usually they don't leave a message. That tells me they really don't want to talk to me. Unknown numbers all go to my answering machine. Eventually they stop calling. And I'm not pissed off at some fool trying to waste my time...

Has anyone actually investigated these mysterious hangup calls with the NRA? I'm beginning to suspect it is an anonymous robocaller trying to discredit the NRA. I've been tracking these calls for a few months but I don't think they are from NRA but a cloaking robocaller:

No not an enemy,  but any man who has a family and does not feel it necessary to protect his family does not give a crap about his family... those who wish to take gun owner rights away from individuals who do care and love thier families, should have the right to have a weapon so they can protect thier family..how the hell can any one justify not wanting to protect their family... be a man and if their is not a man in your home.. then be an American and  buy a gun and get training on how to use it.....

the numbers you list is from NRA =National Recovery Assets.

This number belongs to National Recovery Associates. A real bottom feeding collection agency. If you owe a debt, they will hound you like this until you pay. The debt could be for $25 or $2500. They have lots phone numbers and tricks up their sleeve. The debt could be time barred by state statute. What you need to do is check weekly at your local courthouse to see if they have filed a civil action against you. If they have, you have so much time to respond. Don't ignore it as they will win by default and get a judgement against you. You can fight it pro se, or get an attorney. If they get a judgement, the real harassment begins, such a wage garnishment. There are places on the web that can help you fight this alone, or you can try to settle with them. It's up to you. If you owe the debt, just make sure that you check at the courthouse once a week so they don't win by default. Thats what they want.

I read the latest post which states that it is the National Recovery Agency.  It is not the NRA (National Recovery Agency), but the National Rifle Association.  How do I know?  I called 877-431-5117, and it is the National Rifle Association.  I told the person who answered the phone which was answered as the NRA.  I told the person that I had received several calls over a period of time, the latest 05/16/2013. Each time I answer there would be no person on the other end.   I was assured that my phone number would be placed on the DO NOT CALL list.
