Someone from this number calls my phone EVERY day, sometimes twice a day.  As soon as I answer and identify myself, they hang up.  They never say anything...just hang up.  Extremely annoying.

We had the same problem as Gina.  Ours is a business, so it was really annoying!  I called the number back and it automatically asked if we wanted to be placed on their Do Not Call List.  I added the number, so hopefully it wasn't a phone scam or something!  At the beginning of the call (when I called it back) it did say "Thank you for calling Nuan" (the 'ce' wasn't enunciated, but I hope it was Nuance).

Repeated over and over.

They hang up when I answer.  When I called back I got "thank you for calling Nuance."  (Nuance is the publisher of OmniPage and other software.)  The message gave the options of 1) remove from calling list or 2) place an order.  I chose 2) and then asked to be removed from the calling list.

Wow, what wonders the internet has done along with google. I have enlisted my phone in NJdonotcall list and still I got this call everyday for the last couple of weeks. I never picked the call. When I googled the number it brought me this forum.
Nuance...I bought their software last year I guess. Rotten marketing people. i don't want to buy their stuff anymore. Why cant they just stick to spamming the junk email id I gave them. :)

Thanks Bob and others. Just now called the number and registered in the do not call list of nuance.
Hopefully that works and stays that way.

These jerks call at least 4 times a week.

I once answered and went through the whole speil then told them they had the wrong number and I never got their demo of Dragon Speak or whatever.  They said I ordered it, then I told them nobody from our office was authorized to do so and they acted very confused.  I have bought their products before it was Nuance, and the older stuff worked better than since Nuance bought them out.  I told them because of the harassment I was intentionally going to buy their competitor's product.

ARGH! I got through my whole work spiel and they are never there. Stop calling us!

If they really wanted to do business they would assign a rep, not a call center.

Yup, same here.  No one there when I answer.  Maybe they should change their name from Nuance to NUISANCE!

We're getting the same thing at our office!  Very irritating.

They are trying to sell you their newest software.  If you don't pickup they will not leave a message.  But they will keep calling.

When I answered the phone, they responded with this message:  "There are no representatives to talk with yo right now.  We will call later."

This number calls our business often and when we answer the call and identify our business, they immediately disconnect with the annoying hang-up noise you get when someone uses their speakerphone button and disconnects the call.  I tried to call them back to see if I could add us to their "do not call" list as mentioned above, but the line doesn't connect - just dead air.  

Unfortunately we have to answer our phone - multiple people in this office.

I have received several calls from 866-432-2929 (Nuance) wanting me to buy their software. Apparently, Nuance got my phone number from Xerox because I bought a Xerox printer last year (2010) and it arrived with trial versions of Nuance software (Paperport, Omni-Page, etc). I didn't buy the Nuance software because I don't need it and don't use it.
