This is an insurance company that was given my name by Bank of America.  They tried to get me to take out a $1 million dollar life insurance policy with them for $14.95/month.

They said my husband accept the offer by phone and now they want to charge us. We never had said that we wanted it because we already covered by the government. I think that this violated the privacy policy because Bank of America is nor supposed to give information about people to other companies. I think they manipulated the call when my husband answered the phone. I hate this! Did anybody can't do anything to avoid this calls?

I saw this charge on my account. I know I did not sign up for this.  I don't even know what it is. Now I am on hold--indefinitely!

I wonder if we should sue this company for this invalid charge?

My son received a call from this number. The company already had his account details and was told that he was being offered life insurance through Bank of America. He was told he had 30 days in which to cancel. He phoned and cancelled. The company continued to debit his account for $20.90 per month. Eventually he noticed and brought it to my attention. On his statement was an entry each month since July 2007 with this 8664400456 number. I phoned the number during weekend hours. The recording said "You have reached Customer Service" Note no name. I phoned again during business hours. When the agent answered I asked him for whom was he Customer Service. He replied Cordell Insurance We administer insurance plans for Bank of America"
I explained the situation and the representative confirmed that my son had indeed cancelled. He said that they would no longer debit my sons account.
I then filed a complaint with Bank of America.
Bank of America cannot refund all the payments because they are over 60 days old, Federal regulations do not allow them to do this.
So I filed another complaint with Bank of America regarding how this company was able to debit my sons account without him giving them any information, how they are able to pass themselves off as representing Bank of America.
My only recourse to retrieve the $83.60 I am still owed is to sue this Insurance Company in small claims court which I fully intend to do. I have a complaint filed with Bank of America and I shall let you know how far I get with this. I hate tele-marketing companies at the best of times. I hate it even worse when they scam an 18 year old boy.

I remember seeing this number call me a couple of times in a month, but I didn't answer either time because I don't like 800 numbers calling my cell phone.  I was reviewing my bank statement for this month and noticed this number with INS before it for the amount of $19.95.  I called my bank  (I'm with Bank of America) and let them know it was an unauthorized transaction, and found out I had been charged the same amount in December and November, so they filed a claim for this month and last month so I could get my $40 refunded (apparently they can't do anything past 60 days).  Then I called the 866 number.  Like mentioned previously, they didn't tell me what company it was, just, "this is blah blah with customer service".  I let them know that I had no idea I was signed up with their program, and I wanted to cancel.  The girl gave me such grief.  She kept asking why I would want to cancel such a wonderful policy, and that I had had it since April of '07 (which isn't true because I would have seen it on prior bank statements), and that Bank of America only offers this policy to their most loyal customers.  After five minutes of her badgering me and telling me I shouldn't cancel, she finally said, "Well, ok," as if she was upset and that I was making a big mistake.  I'm not happy about it at all, and the bank says they know nothing about the insurance policy these people claim to offer through Bank of America.  Who knows who is telling the truth.  I'm sure the bank is behind it all.

I have the same issue than all of you. I was not diligent enough to pay attention to the details when they called me. The representative said he was working with Bank of America. He already had all my banking information and like that I got enrolled in the plan (they charge me $29.90). At no time over the course of the past few months, did I receive any package from this so-called insurance, no insurance ID number, no nothing...so much for being the plan of the century. I have been trying to cancel this policy. I called the customer service (and Keith, you are right! No name) and asked the policy to be canceled 3 times already. My last phone call was yesterday and sure enough, they withdraw $29.90 today. I also called bank of america and asked them to stop payments but so far, no luck either. They told me that there was no guarantee of stopping payment. I am getting extremely upset and if the matter is not resolved within days, I will change bank! Any idea about what we can do? Thanks!

Same thing happened to me. No help from Bank of America. Bank of America said I must have said yes some time during the conversation but I didn't know they had access to my online banking account. They are an approved 3rd Party deal through Bank of America but they have no control over them hitting my account. Bank of America can't stop the payments. What a scam.

DAMN THIS 866-440-0456 NUMBER! I'VE BEEN GETTING CALLS TOO!

i usually check my bank statements online. i've seen this transaction before..deducting $14.95 out of my checkings account, but i figured it was just something i might've bought using my debit card.

i was getting worried when it showed up on my statements every month on the same day & had talked to a friend about it. we finally searched the number on google and it landed us here. ugh im soo annoyed.

I am most definitely changing my bank if bank of america does not settle this issue!

I have had a policy with this group for over a year and ma happy with their services. They are legitimate. They are actually listed on the Bank Of America site, under the flag services banner. If you check on line you will see insurances services listed on the home site. The above tel. # is the customer service # for a group of insurance companies that underwrite certain insurance policies - in their case accident insurance. My policy is through them underwritten by AIG, which is a legitimate insurance company.

I know that there are way to many scams out there, and that telemarketers are a royal pain, but we need to be responsible about who we are making complaints against. As annoying as these situations often are a little research can clear up issues without panicking other clients or potential clients.

No I don't work for this company, but I ran into this site on a fluke, did the research and found out that they are listed on the bank's homepage.

They may be legitmate but they are making unauthorizized charges on peoples accounts, mine included.  I really don't care about the legitimacy of the company or how great they work for some I did not give them the authority to charge me, period.

    Unbelieveable
I open my statement this morning not realizing that I had this account since I don't use it.  On it was two changes from this phone number and no reference number.  When I called Bank of AMerica the operator did not understand why this reference # was not on my statement when she was able to see it on-line.  I told her that no way did I gave out my number to an account I forgot that I had and that I believe that her company must have.
After she and I went back and forth on this she told me to call this number first to find out who and what the charges were. When I called it was not mentioned of the company and to call back during normal business hours. Which lead my here to Google there number and found all of this complaints.
I'm thinking about reporting this practise to my Attorney General office.

No call recieved, but I know what I am going to do. I am going down to the local branch and close my account.  I would ask all of you to consider the same action. It might just shake up management!  I know that I am a very small account, but if you start to add up all of the small accounts...

These people called me, saying something about being with Bank of America. I stupidly accepted their offer since there was a one month trial and they said they would send me the details and the option to cancel in the mail in about 5 business days. Being the nice guy I am, I said yes...

When they didn't mail me anything after the first week, I got worried. After about a month and a half, I found that they had already billed me for one month of service. I looked up the number on my online bank statement with Google and came here. Armed with some information I called this number and after the "this is customer service" line I told them that I wanted to cancel the 1 million dollar life insurance policy they I had gotten myself into. They offered to make the payments lower and tried to convince me to stay, but I refused, preferring to just cancel.

After that, I went to my local Bank of America branch and told them about what had happened. They told me to change the checking account from which these people took my $15.90 from, which I did. So far I haven't gotten a bill. It's a small price to pay for my poor decision...
