Calls frequently but never leaves message. Hangs up when machine picks up

This was a service wanting to "update my personal information" for a college alumni directory.  Pushy sales person wanted only one thing--to sell me copies of the directory...

This number keeps on calling my cell phone on a daily (sometimes 2x's a day) and I wish it would cease.

Calls constantly, dont care to pick up after reading things other people have posted about this number. Just wish they would stop calling.

Calls a couple of times per week - hangs up when answering machine kicks in.  I won't answer!!  Since my phone number is on the Do Not Call registry, I have forwarded a complaint to the FTC.  Maybe that will do some good.

Called my office, asked for me by name, and then went silent when transferred to my extension and hung up without saying a word. Not a very effective way to sell whatever it is they're selling.

Received 3 calls from this number. I knew it was bogus when they screwed up my name.

Verizon blocked this number. I will be reporting this number to the Gov's Office of Consumer Affairs. I urge you to do the same in your state.

calls every night I never answer never leaves a messege.

Just got another call.  They call and hang up if you answer.  We don't anymore.  I heard these are robo calls to determine when people are home to answer the phone.  Then they sell the list with that info or have a telemarketer call during these times.  So don't answer.  Especially if they call early in the a.m. or they will keep calling.  My elederly Uncle made that mistake and they kept waking him up at 4;00 a.m. until I told him to stop answering the phone.  Eventually they stopped calling at that time.  I'm on the do not call list so will ask phone company to block.

This number calls my cell every day and doesn't leave a message! If I don't know who the hell you are, I WILL NEVER ANSWER!!! SO STOP IT!

This number has called me 6 times in the past 2 days. I do not answer numbers that I do not recognize and this needs to stop.

Called at dinner time, again.  No message.  Why doesn't the No Call List make any difference?

Just got a call from this number too, they hung up on the answering machine.If it turns out they are, as someone else here posted, calling to "update my personal information for their alumni records" without solid proof, I'll consider it an identity-theft attempt and notify law enforcement.

The No Call Lists make a difference, but not as much as people would hope where unscrupulous vendors/scammers are concerned. It is simply a list of people who are not to be called, which vendors are supposed to respect. Unfortunately, there is no secret laser-armed space station in orbit that detects when someone violates the No Call List and opens fire to vaporize the offending caller. For the No Call Lists to do any good, you have to report the offending caller to the federal/state agencies, and they have to get alot of complaints before they fine the callers, assuming the callers haven't vanished by then with their ill-gotten gains. At the state-level (Atty Gen's office) you might get a little more personalized service, and may fill out a questionnaire as to whether you've told the callers to stop calling, when you told them to stop, if it was a live person or a robo-call, etc. But don't expect miracles, they aren't going to dispatch a SWAT team to seize the callers after receiving your complaint.

You would be getting alot more calls if the Lists were not in place like they are.

For the No Call Lists to have any chance, everyone who posts complaints here needs to report them to the No Call Lists or nothing will be done.

Publishing Concepts:  To stop the calls call 800-395-4724 Extension 104 and have Debra Dale remove your number from the calling list.

When she tires of answering our calls, use Extension 103, then 102, then 101 and any other extension you can get through on !!
