- orlando trip 2This lady called saying that I had won a trip to Orlando and Bluegrass resorts which was 90% paid for. She said that I filled out a slip at a local convention show which I don't remember but they had a lot of personal info like address, name, phone number... She wanted me to give my credit card number over the phone I told her I didn't have one at the moment and she provided me with this number to call her back to claim my prize once I had a credit card. I think it is another scam and I won't be calling back.
- Maria M| 1 replyA guy called saying I had won the trip to Orlando, another to Hawaii AND - check this out - a Cruise to the Bahamas.... All I had to pay was $249 for the first two persons (the trips accomodated 5!).
Same deal, he asked for my credit card and when I said I wouldn't give it to him over the phone, he said -upset- "Ok then - participate again next year", and hung up.
His tone and reaction confirmed to me this was a scam!
What bothers me as well is that they had a lot of information about me!- Caller: Bluegreen Universal Studios
- Gabriel Vaughan| 1 replySame scenario, big trip to Fla, DisneyLand, cruise, and primo resort, three different trips in all. I told him I was at work and only had cash on me, no card. I would love to take the kids to DisneyLand but I don't have $500 to throw to a scam. I would like to know if this is legit but he gave a different call back number than what showed on caller ID and he wanted my card number before I got anything from him.
- Caller: Universal Studios
- Sue| 1 replyCharles Roselli, ID#2121 called at 9:55pm Thursday night saying that I had won a trip to Orlando and Bluegrass Resorts which was 90% paid for. He said that I filled out a slip at a lCleveland Womens Show a year ago which I don't remember but they had a lot of personal info like my address, name, phone number, email, income range and what credit card I liked to use for most purchases. He kept rambling on and on. I knew this was a telemarketing thing. After he pitched his $249 price he asked me if this sounded like a home run to me and I said No. He hung up instantly. WHAT A BIG PAIN IN THE ASS THIS IS! Telemarketers used to stop calling at 9pm. What the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Caller: Universal Studios/Bluegrass Resorts
- Call type: Telemarketer
- anonymous replies to SueIt's likely a timeshare tour misrepresented as a trip or vacation (and why it's 90% paid for). You'll have to sit through a timeshare presentation and fight off the sales sharks. He's violating the TCPA's no calls past 9pm rule http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/tcpa.html
- Happened replies to Gabriel VaughanSame story as well, they called, said I had to give my credit card info now over the phone to get this offer. When I declined, and asked to be taken off the list, the guy, "Jonathan" from "Universal Studios reservations" was very rude and said, "You think we would be calling you again, whatever" Universal studios name is being tarnished by this scam and they should do something about it
- Angry LouisvillianI just received a call from this number. A man who claimed to be the General Manager of Great American Getaways, named "Chris LeFave" said I had won the package, same as described above. I attended a Louisville Homearama event just last week and they called me saying I had won the GRAND PRIZE. If you attended the same event this year... DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL. It is a scam.
- Caller: American Getaways
- NoraReceived this call...if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is! Don't give anyone information if "they" call you.
- Orlando Trip replies to Maria MMy husband and I are trying to get information on GREEN_TREE RESORTS; we believe that this maybe ;a scam also. If anyone has any information on this problem please post your input on this site; It will be of great helpl to us and many others.
- sarahDid anyone find out if this is a scam? I get that it is most likely a scheme to try and get you to buy a time share, but are the trips real?
- Caller: Orlando
