Called from a private number. A James Cameron (I think is what he said) called for me looking for my sister and said he was a private investigator.  Left a case file # and this phone number to call him back at. Did have the right state and county for my sister....   but then why wouldn't he just give me a local number.  so I will error on the side of caution and call it a scam unless I get a local number left for me.  

I just got this same call. Scary part is they have all my information. I called back and it wasnt even the man that called it was some office the lady said was Acf offices. Scary stuff.

Received by a Michelle from this # stating that CheckNGo reported to them about me owing money to them. I explained I had to check it out. the lady had an attitude with that. Right than, I knew it was probably not in the up & up. Plus she tried to threaten me with law suite. So, I called CheckNGo & gave me a different collection agency not this one so I am needing to block this #. Tried of scammers!

One important thing to remember if these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

They Called again today but changed their phone #. Did a 3 way call & the ACS hung up. Verified with CheckNGo & the collection agency is some other company instead of ACS.  Explained to CheckNGo what this ACS is doing to them & their customers.  I tried to call the # that CheckNGo gave me but I get a VM. This all sounds fishy to me.  Are we not sure its not CheckNGo doing fraudulant activies as well & they are all working together. Just a thought!

I had the same call from James Cameron, but he said he was a private investigator for the state of Texas, if this is not true, I think the state should know someone is impersonating as a state employee.

They called my dad's house looking for me. Wouldn't tell who they were or what the matter was about. Tired of dealing with people like this!
