Number shows on caller ID, hangs up when phone is answered. Never leaves a voice mail

Caller called and when i answered they hung up on me.Today.

this phone number rings all day long when i pick up i hear the hangup click and if i dont answer they call again n again n again who is this company and these mistery calls i want it to end, help what do i do?

Received a call today nobody answered, called back, w/o identifying type of business a msg asked to press 1 to be place on the do not call list. I did not press 1 because I feel this is exactly what they were looking for. I would like to know who these people are. For the moment I will send and email to the Florida customer protection agency just incase this is a type of scam.

this number currently belongs to www.higherimpactonline.com ... they just called me asking if i was still interested in an "at-home-job".. which i never applied for. i attempted to ask the person to remove me from their calling list and got the reply "this is a business, we are not here to play games".. to which i replied "listen bro i dont know how you got my number"... and was promptly cut off by the caller saying "well obviously if you use words like 'bro' on the phone you don't even have a high school education" and hung up on me. i will be making their company the butt of many prank calls, feel free to join me! their webpage has this number: 1-866-955-6465 and they have multiple offices in Phoenix area Arizona.

i called 1-866-955-6465, they answered and were surrounded by other call center reps, they claimed they were on their cellphone.

Yep, the name of the company is Higher Impact, Inc.
 
The number they call from is 866-460-6632.  Whether you pick up or let it go to voicemail: no one talks, no one leaves a message.  If you call the number back, you are asked to "press 1" to be taken off the call list. It's your only option. If you don't press 1, the system says goodbye and hangs up on you. (Right -- I'm going follow instructions from someone who won't identify themselves or their purpose? LOL Not!)

Here is the number to call to talk to a human:  866-955-6465. But the representative will tell you that you signed up with them to establish a home-based business. The rep won't say what sort of home business it is, but insists you signed up with them. Next they ask for all your personal information -- whether you want to talk about business opportunities or if you ask them to take you off the list. No matter what, they need your personal information. (Ummmmm no, I'm not going to do that either. They need to tell ME what information they have on me. But it was a nice try.)

I was able to get the representative to confirm that Phil Gilbert is employed with the firm. (See message from l33t - 9 Feb 2009 )

I'm still investigating them and whether there is an agency to which we might report them.

Ok I contacted the State Atty General's office in Phoenix, AZ and placed a complaint.  Everyone needs to do the same because numbers of complaints help escalate investigation. When you make your complaint, you will also be advised to file a complaint with your state consumer complaints office and with your local Better Business Bureau, and those numbers will be provided to you.

I found another company called 3aoo.com linking to the same loan office, then I checked the address, both 3443 n. central phoenix az... Sounds like HigherImpactOnline.com also owns WebWealthStrategies.com , 3aoo.com , IncredibleAdvertising.com , and HigherImpactInc.com.

Same BS. They called, I answered, they hung up. I called back and got the recording to press 1, I did- and so far nothing followed. I will let you all know what comes next. But I agree with everybody, here - silence is definatly not Golden! I am tired of all these spam type companies taking advantage of us; we have enough stress in our lives without their help!!

They called my house on 4/03/2009 @ 2:08pm and left NO message.

I tried returning their call just now, AND the only thing I got was a recording saying, " To be removed from our calling list, please press 1" and then a slight pause before the same recording came bsck on 2-3 times before receiving a busy signal!

I'm NOT pressing "1" just yet.......I might make some $$$$$ off these idiots for violating the TCPA Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991.

I AM on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, and they are going to learn that!

Maybe.........we should contact that President, Stephanie Davis  and see if she knows what illegal tactis her associates are using..........

LO behold.............they called again (just now)..........left no machine mesage,the recording came on that said " if you would like to make a call, please hang up and try your call again."

WELL........a few days ago, I got sick of all these annoying calls from Hiherimpactonline.com. I decided to go ahead and call them and try pushing the #1 to see if doing thos would stop the calls; as you can probably imagine......the calls did NOT stop, they continued to call EVEN AFTER....I answered the call several times AND told them that I was NOT intersted AND to "PLEASE Stop Calling Me"!

SO......Today, after speaking with my lawyer....... I decided to call them and ask for a supervisor; after being  on hold for several minutes, someone named "Phil" answered the phone and asked me "What's the problem?"
SO....I told him what was happening, and he said that he couldn't beleive that I was still getting calls from THEM!

Then he asked my name and phone number, I gave it to him and he told me that the calls "should" stop within 2-3 days time.

I am hoping that "PHIL" is really able to stop these calls because I am sick and tired of being woke up during the day after working the night shift!
