This company call day and nite, also @ my work, asking for me as they know me for years, like good friends, but they are a collection agency, so I play along with them and I said is this is a personal phone call, please do not call her at work, call her at home, and do not call againg at her work.
They still calling like they are good friends. I just take a message, and play. I know I own the money, but for stupic circunstances, I can not make any more payments, even if I want.

they called and when I said hello about 30 times no said anything back. I can hear people shuffling in the back ground then someone hangs up the phone. When I called the number back saying that I just received a call from this number. They asked me for my number and I gave it to them then the guy hangs up. Allied has so many numbers here are a few. Don't let these people harrass you. You have to answer the calls if you don't then I shows that you are avoiding them. When you speak with a rep after they tell you the phone call will be recording/monitored then ask that person if they're ok with you recording the conversation. Most likely they'll say no or hang up but answer their calls. Also check to see whether or not you're in a 1 party or 2 party law for recording state. Some states need you to get permission from the other party to record the conversation. Just to be on the safe side if you're not sure ask them anyway. After I asked a rep that they haven't been calling to speak with me. Just calling and playing a recording. The funny thing about that is you can hear when they click on the recording and then turn it off and hang up.

Even if you owe on a debt DON'T make any payment agreements with a debt collector because you have no contract with them to pay this. Making a payment agreement with them over the phone would be considered a verbal agreement. Let them know that you are going to pay the company that you have a debt with and not them. Be firm in telling them this. Also make payments to the company they will accept them. You only have a contract with the company you owe and not a third party collection agency.

How desperate ate these and con men to have to stoop to call spoofing?

These guys are off the charts on the harrassing calls.  They do work for GE Money bank and related cards such as Care Credit, Chevron, etc.  If you are tired of the calls, get yourself a free Google Voice number and use that for any creditor.  Then add the creditors' phone numbers to a group of contacts in Google Voice that you designate to go straight into voicemail instead of ringing your actual phone.  You can then review their calls and any messages they leave at your convenience instead of having your busy workday interrupted with the constant calls.

just complained about the walmart ethic line.  1-800-963-8442 to make a formal complaint.

These scumbag debt collectors have called me day and night looking for someone else.  I don't know the person they're looking for, have never heard of the person they're looking for, and he certainly has never lived  in my home!  Reported them to the FCC---the state attorney general is next.

I keep getting phone calls from this number and they stay on the line for just a few seconds then hang up.  Would like to know who it is.  I don't owe any debts so that's not it.

Ah Ha!  I called that 800-460-9145 number back and they answered, it's Allied Interstate Collection Agency looking for someone that I don't know. Someone told me that that is the way Collection Agency's do now....get you to call them back so they aren't the one calling you so they won't get into trouble...how bout that, learn something new every day.

Lady calls from this number and says, I want to talk to ____, my sister.
I told her she is not here and what is it regarding.
She says its a personal call and hanged up.

Ridiculous! I agree with the remaining folks. Thanks to this forum, now I know its a junk call.

This company calls several times a day.  I have no debts.  I answered once or twice and waited a few minutes for a response...nothing.  I didn't know what it was until I read this site on my computer because they never said anything.  The Attorney General's office in my state will be contacted.

We get calls from this number several times a day, sometimes they will call a second time within a minute of the first call. We do not answer these calls. I was glad to get the info from this site about who they really are. How do we get rid of them? I have not got time to play games with these people.

I received repeat calls from them under the guise of Wal Mart as it said on the caller id.  they were very strange and wanted all this personal info on me but would not tell me what they wanted it for.  they said they were from Allied Interstate, but I have no idea who that is. I refused to give any info and then he said he could not talk with me what he was calling about. I told him to send me the info via the mail., and he said he could not.  Then I told him that he needed to get there call id display fixed as it comes up as Wal Mart and then he hung up on me.  By The Way.  They have never left me a message after over a hundred calls to my home.

I got the same call just a little whiile ago.  I called back and he said he was with Allied Interstate but wouldn't even say what his company did.  He wouldn't give me any other info until I verified my personal info...I told him I wouldn't verify my personal info until he verified who he was with and what matter he needed to discuss.  If they can't verify their info, then you shouldn't verify yours either.  They then called me back on ANOTHER number that isn't listed above so I'll share it with you.

I get 3 to 5 calls from this place a day. They just want your personal information but won't tell you why. How do you get these people to stop. I was thinking of changing my phone number but I don't know why I should change my number when I have had it for over 10 years.

This company calls  us all the time. When I answer the phone call no one answers me. Very annoying because my husband works nights and sleeps days.
