Called me at 8:44am and woke me up. I did not answer but used my per call block and called them and found out it was Allied Industries out of Texas. A damn collection agency calling before 9am. I hung up and found they have so many violations against them it is surprising they are still operating. Why bother when they try to get money out of people for other people's debt. The woman spoke so fast I had to have her repeat the business name 3 times before I could make out the name of the business. Then the only satisfaction I got was hanging up on her.

They are allowed to call between 8am and 9 pm your time, so 8;44 am is not a violation.  No doubt they will call again, so you need to read the following:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

This number calls my home every day ! Please QUIT !

They have been calling every day- missed calls. I answered today and they asked for someone else. I told them they had the wrong number and they said they'd take my number out of their database. We'll see if they do.

They will not take your number out of their database. They have been calling my office number for almost 2 years at least 1-2 times per day. IF they say anything (they usually hang up) they ask for different people each time. None of the people they ask for are even at my place of employment. I have called them back and asked them several times to stop calling. They say they will but the calls have still not stopped.

Xfinity must have issued my phone number to a bunch of deadbeats before they gave it to me.  When I call them and tell them I'm not (whoever) they apologize and give up.
P.S.  I've had this number for two years.

Have received calls from this number requesting to speak with, my husbands, ex-wifes current spouse.  What?  Politely asked how they had gotten our number for him.  The reply,"It was in our data base."  My reply," There is no way, this number has had no relation with ex-wife or her spouse."

They get numbers off the internet.  There are many places that will list a name and then people they might be associated.  They call family, friends, and neighbors to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.

I have no debt, so why are they bugging me. No answer when I pick up the phone and say "hello"

That makes no difference to crooks.  All they want to do is extort money from you.  Read my posts up there.

Called me regarding a debt I am unaware of. They had an address I never lived at, I asked the collector what is the date of the last activity and was told Feb 2007. Are you kidding me? 9 year old zombie debt to top it all off? Advised him to send a letter to my po box so I cn formally dispute the validity of the debt as well as Cease & Desist them, end of story. He had the gall to try to hound me to make a partial payment anyways lol. On a debt I have never heard of thats over 9 years old lol not in this lifetime.

Same here I've had my number for 6 years. Every time they call its for a different person.

They called today, but the phone rang once and the call ended. I recommend everyone buy a call blocker. I have blocked many area codes. One ring and done. They still call, but they are wasting their time, not mine.

They call the office I work at but every time I answer the phone they just dont respond. Never have asked for anyone or even said hello?

Dips called again. One ring and done.

They called and asked to speak to my brother that passed in April.  They did not identify the company at all by name.  Once my mother told them he does not love here they made a statement of surprise and then hung up.  Any ideas if this could be a legit call?

Allied Interstate called at 3:44 PM CST. It is a robot call that prompts you to press 1 to speak to a representative.

Calls once a day no message

Call came in to my work phone, so who knows what number they were calling (a big business and we have all sorts of phone lines).  Anyway, they left no message.  From other comments, it seems like a number that is to be blocked.
