    fed-up
multiple calls at all times of the day
sometimes no one on the line, sometimes very aggressive individuals asking for a specific person, not taking "no" for an answer, insisting specific person lives here, insisting they have been told this person is "out" or "returning shortly" or that our number is registered to the person they are asking for

    grrrr...

Harassing callers from HSBC, rude representatives and uncooperative. Do yourself a favor, if they are in anyway out of line make a formal complaint against them with the better business bureau or speak to their supervisor Sunny at 1-800-361-5783 you have rights.

Oh my load...  Some people have been calling from this particular phone number for at least 10 times within the last 30 days, not to mention blocked called ID with a person of the same voice... (that added up to at least 20 of them) It's surprising that the caller is so persistent (and kept looking for the very same person), and there was a woman (with probably Easten Asian accent, and also the one who made the most calls for those I have ever answered) who was particularly aggressive that she insisted she didn't get the wrong person after I politely said she got the wrong number (probably the first or second time I answered it).  I really wanted to toss the phone if it wasn't a cell phone.

I am getting the same thing from this 1-866-469-6445 number. I tried calling this Sunny character but he nevers returns my calls, big surprise there. I have complained to Telus twice and that fell on deaf ears and I have also filed a complaint with the CRTC but haven't heard back from them.
I called my local HSBC branch and directed them to this web site and they actually sounded shocked and I was told by the guy on the phone that he would definately forward this to his superviser but I am not holding my breath for anything there either.
Perhaps everyone should call their local HSBC and tell them how bad this looks for them.
If this doesn't stop soon I have 4 phone lines here and I am going to download an auto dialer and use one of my lines to return the favour and set it to dial them up 24/7.
Perhaps if we get a few people doing this to the 3 numbers I have that belongs to them they won't have a free line to dial out with.

I received in my answering machine a pre-recoded message saying (in french) "it's an important call from HSBC, please call us at 1-866-469-6445". It seemed urgent and important.

Before returning the call, I googled the number and found that site. According to your commentaries, I guess should never return the call! :-)

calling at all hours even late into the night.  Every time I pick up I either get a message to wait and then it goes dead or there is just dead air.  I know that my calls are with regard to the new Future Shop card because that is the only account I have tied to this company.  Getting really sick and tired of all the harrassment

Besides, if there is a problem with my card leave a freakin message! This number called 5 times yesteray on Good Friday!!!!! Not even the grocery stores were open.
