- BillyBobI received a voice mail telling me to call 866-470-5331 about a Fraud alert from Citicards. I dont have a Citicard and I do not know what Citicards is. When I called, the answering system asked me to input my card #. I input 1234, etc. This was an offshore number and the first thing the person asked me for was my number. I asked her who she worked for and she said Citicard. I am pretty sure this is a scam.
- TruthThey left a message and said to call them about a card opened in my name. So I called and got a recorded message asking for me to enter the last 4 digits of my card. So I waited for a while and then the recording asked for my 9 digit social security number. I waited some more and then some person answered and asked for my 16 digit credit card number. The guy tried to sound professional but CITI would be able to confirm most of my identity from where I was calling from. Good bye.
