Said to call back regarding reference number but when I call back I just get a fast ringing signal. There is no voicemail service on this line. I am not in Collections so I am curious to know who this is.

Got a call from 780-409-3035 yesterday and today.  No company name is given.  Just a number to call 1-866-470-6331 and a reference number.  I didn't call back yesterday, but today when I called it kept ringing 2 quick rings and then a pause.  It just kept ringing so I hung up.  I'd really like to know what they want.

It is a collection agency called Metropolitan Credit Adjusters.They have been calling me in the same manner.They sound disreputable to me.

They call me regularly with info regarding "important business matters" for Jim Carter. (note: I am not Jim Carter).

They do not, however say what those matters are or do they mention their business name.

got 2 calls today March 26/10 from this number but missed both of the calls.

Recieved a call from 866-470-6331 on August 3, 2010.  Wasn't home to answer, they didn't leave a message.  Not the first time they have called but it's been a couple months since I saw this number on the caller ID.  Last time they didn't leave a message either so I don't know who it is or why they are calling.

Received a call from 8664706331 on October 16, 2010.  Was in a lecture so I didn't pick up.  Checked my voicemail, called back, and was told the number was not in service.

They have been calling me for about 2 weeks now almost every day. I am not in a collection agency either and when I try to call back the call won't connect. Its just 3 fast beeps and then dead air! Checked out their website. doesn't look all that legit to me!

This number 1866 470 6331 keeps calling me in everyday basis. They ask me to call and refer to a specific file number they give me. I did call them back and they told me that file is for a man that I don't know.

I already told them to stop calling me since I am not even the person they are looking for, but, they won't stop

Had them call me so much I finally answered the phone and its a recording for  "important business" they connect you if you stay on the line long enough and they ask you for your name and number I gave it to them. then they asked why I was calling and I said "YOU CALLED ME" so they transferred me to another person who said "how may I help you today" they asked for my name and number again so I said "YOU CALLED ME". And for the third time they said "Let me transfer to the person who will handle your business" I thought finally I was going to get someone who would know what was going on BUT they came back after putting me on hold for 5 min and said "Im sorry the person who will help you isnt here at the moment your going to have to call back" and for the third and finale time I said "YOU CALLED ME IF YOUR GOING TO CALL ME YOU BETTER BE READY TO TALK TO ME. THIS IS THE LAST TIME IM GOING TO ANSWER A CALL FROM YOUR COMPANY".

Have received a number of calls from this number over the past weeks. They use the same routine on me: must call immediately, reference file number...  Spoke with Telus and they confirmed the call was bogus.  I plan to inform the RCMP.
