- WI just got a call from this number. The guy said it was for the 411 Directory Assistance listing that has expired. We don't have a listing with these people. When I asked for a number to call them back I was told one didn't exist. When I questioned "Mike" on that, he became incredibly rude to me. If it's a credible business, don't you think they would have a number where their customers could reach them? Sounds fishy to me.
- johanabbis replies to 411da.ca Customer ServiceThanks for the clarification.
- Class ActionI'm getting quite tired of this company calling. They still operate as 411directoryassistance.ca. Immediately you should recognize this as fraudulent behaviour, as they have nothing to do with 411 Directory Assistance, which is a service provided by Bell, et al. I have noted their phone number and verified my existence on the DNCL, and I suggest you do the same. Bell has a record of how many times they've called, and I'm waiting for the third so I can launch a harassment complaint. I think they are serving $500 harassment awards now and am actually excited for the next time they call.
Do NOT tell them what your intents are as to serving them with a harassment charge. Do not tell them your name or company name either, just leave them in the dark. They will continue to harass you until you give them the info, and only do this on the fifth call in one year. I want this company to pay this out enough times that they realize people won't stand for it any more and that my business line is for business. MY business.

- buggedI never pick up 866, 888 etc numbers or long distance without knowing who it is...this is the global effect on us of so many phone scams.
I had to pick it up today as it was disturbing us. I said "Helllow...." and after a pause I heard voices in the background...female voices. Then a guy came on and asked tentatively..."Is Brad there". My response was that there was no Brad here and he apologized and hung up. (I'm female).
I think they are targetting businesses with this scam and based on the way I answered the phone they eliminated me from the scam since I would have no use for 411 anything.- Caller: scam criminals
- really? replies to 411da.ca Customer Service| 1 replyYou say you work for this company and are a legitimate business....
If so...why are you calling (and disturbing) residences....i.e. non-business numbers. Something doesn't ring true about what you say. - MHRec'd call from man saying he was from 411. Looking to confirm who is in charge- gave name of G.M - but he wanted to speak with him. I told him it was not needed as I just told him who is in charge. He asked to speak to someone else - told him the other person in charge was on vacation and just when I went to ask if he wished to leave his name and number and they will contact him after the holiday - he hung up on me.
Oh and he also kept saying how they keep calling and calling us and they can't get anywhere with our company - meanwhile I've never heard from them and I just told him who are G.M. is...
This man was very rude and unprofessional.- Caller: 411.ca

- Angry Canuck replies to 411da.ca Customer ServiceMy cell number has been on the Do Not Call List since it's inception - stop calling me! Next time you call me - I will send you an invoice for the inconvenience of having to tell you no over and over again.
- Tired of the ringing replies to Class ActionThanks for the info - I have received at least 2 calls a day from these people. I no linger even answer their calls at they don't take no for an answer!
Thanks for the link - I have also placed a complaint against them - enough is enough! I have real work to do! - SIyeah... i've logged many complaints to the do not call list, and clearly they aren't doing a damn thing since i get calls from these same companies REPEATEDLY! one scam artist even goes so far as to call my boss's cell phone (how he got the number is beyond me) after i tell him both politely and very rudely to stop calling.
scam artists don't care, the government doesn't care... what's left? - Jamie CanadaGot a call from them on my cellphone. I answered and they just hung up. I guess because I didn't respond with a 'business' greeting, they didn't even "waste" their time being courteous enough to apologize for calling a wrong number. "Legit" company, my eye.

- RJR replies to 411da.ca Customer ServiceThe thing you don't tell people during the call is that it was free the first year and they will now be charged. You just ask if their info is correct and then send out invoices. I have learned to ask every time if it was free and if it is still free. Shady sales tactics... practices like this should be illegal and you should be ashamed to work there!
- Kate| 1 replyOur industry association has had calls from this organization, and indeed an invoice which we've refused to pay. Now have a "collection" agency from the same address apparently. Suggest that anyone who gets these sorts of calls, make a note and call the Canada Fraud Office at 1-888-495-8501.

- kathy| 1 replySame story I received a call saying they will provide a free listing and later I received a bill for 575 + tax. I then quickly sent them an email for false representation of services and requesting immediate cancellation. Now they are sending letters threatening 3rd party collection. Scammmmmm. Be careful say no to everything........
- LaVerne| 1 replyDon't just come here and whine, send a report to these guys http://www.occq-qcco.com/main.cfm?p=231&l=en&succes=1 it's the Quebec Commercial Certification Office, I'm guessing the local government run version of the BBB. Flood them with complaints and see how long they are listed there!!!!!!

- Shannon replies to annoyedHello, I've been dealing with these guys for years. They won't actually send you an invoice, but they will phone 6-8 months later and tell you that the invoice is past due and needs to be paid immeidately. I told the guy to prove that it was an authorized transaction, he said it was authorizedover the phone. I told him no way in hell do I authorize anything with my boss' money over the phone. He then proceeded to call me stupid, and other awful names that I won't re-type here. My boss told them to go ahead and send an invoice, we will take them to court. Nothing ever showed up.
- UFO replies to kathyYou can do all yourself a favour and buy a call blocker on line. It frustrates them as they get disconnected on the first ring and eventually give up trying to get through.
- Liza| 1 replyI got this phone calls so many time, they even got my name, he said 411.ca about the service, I told him I am busy, he said he will call me back another time. I hung up on him. After I read all this, I just block the number 8664827474.
