Numerous phone calls harassing and threatening.

Same here!  These guys are from Progressive Financial Services.  My brother used my parents phone # instead of his own.  We can't get them to stop calling.  They are total jerks!

Here's what we need to do. First either log the date and time of the calls or better yet tape them. Let your answering machine do this for you. Second you must file a complaint with your State Attorney Generals Office. We'll need them on file. I'm looking into the possiblity of a class action lawsuit against this company since they have knowingly violated Consumer Protection Laws in the State I live in.

Progressive Financial Services has called several times looking for someone not at this number.  I suspect it is the previous owner of the number.  I have spoken with them previously and they say they will remove the number.  Today, several calls.  When I first replied the respondent was rude and abusive demanding my name which I refused to supply.  He told me that the calls will continue MORE FREQUENTLY.  I called back and spoke to someone with a different voice.  He asked for the name and I supplied my last name preceeded with a MR. He responded by calling me by my first name.  (caller id?)  He said that it would be taken care of within 24 hours.  Since that call, I have received four more calls from their messaging system-- in the span of an hour.

Received a call for someone who I do not know. When I asked them to stop calling the person became abusive and belligerent.

They called me....pissed me off....I reported to the Do Not Call List but the AG Office is a better idea

Called, stated that they were calling for an on-line school...I told them not to call again

out of area  that is what showed up on my  phone.... they demeand  my name and my telephone # and my address.....  they keep calling  and calling  .  I did  get legal advice about this matter,   I will  not speak to them at all. I don"t thrust them.......

I've gotten a call from these idiots just about every other day for the last 3-4 weeks.  I'm on the verge of calling and demanding to speak to manager after manager until I run out of expletives.  After reading some of these comments, it seems that will get me no where.  This is blatant harrassment.  They claim they are a debt collector, yet use a non-existent name (my first name + my wife's last name).  I'll be reporting these people to as many agencies as I can find online tonight.  I'll start with the Attorney General's office.

several times a day the phone will ring at my office and there will just be the end of a conversation w/ some guy saying the 1-866-484-0211 number for someone to call back.  It seems like it is some sort of calling station and they are hanging up from the previous call before starting mine and then drop my call too.  Lucky for me no one ever talks to me, but unlucky in that calls come 4 and 5 times a day.

I have instructed the phone company to install a trap on my line which will trace and track every time your company calls my number. This information will be used by law enforcement agents in a complaint and ongoing investigation against your company.

Any future contact with me must be in writing. In addition you must provide me with the name, address, and phone number of the original creditor who passed this account on to you. You must also provide information regarding the original debt amount owed. It is my right to request proof of the debt in question in writing. please help me these people are calling me and i dont even owe them nothing my ex gave my num# as a refrence and now they wont stop calling they even found out where i work and they are calling me at work. i will do anything to get these idiots what they deserve.

numerous calls, always automated. Have called them repeatedly to request cease and desist (nothing changes).
My daughter gave this number to them years ago, I guess. She doesn't live here, lives in another state now.

They call two and three times a day for someone I have never heard of. When I finally listened to the call and got the number they said they do not have my number listed. When I went to play the message back to them they hung up . This has been going on and off for years.
