This is the commissioned bottom feeders at it again - Metropolitan Credit Adjusters - don't let the name fool you - they are debt collectors, nothing "adjusters" about them other than to threaten you to make their money on the misery of others in this economy.   Societal nothings - not helping anyone or producing anything.  I see they now try to call as "private caller" - they don't like their staff to access the derogatory consumer comments on the unwanted 800 number directories, so they keep changing the numbers they call from.  This time he states his name is Robert Payne, ha ha ha, how appropriate..."payne" or should I say "pain" in the you know what!!  Their website comments are hilarious - particularly where they imply they re-educate debtors.  People, check with your individual Province's collection agency rules as they all differ a little bit.  Just remember that you do not even have to speak with them...hang up and get to know your Province's laws before you even ADMIT that you owe anyone anything, as there is a limit on how long they can attempt to collect - if you admit or even pay a little bit, the collection time starts all over again.  Some provinces only allow as little as 2 years for collecting in court,  but the collectors still try and, of course,  Metropolitan won't tell you that!!  Nothing honest about debt collectors -  "real" banker rejects and has beens or wannabees!  The authoritative voice is sly and developed just to psych you out.  Don't be..know your rights!! (It is hard for those of us in the know to keep up with the phone numbers they use to freak people out, but hopefully this info helps someone stay out of their clutches today)

Shill alert!  You say you don't work for them but were very quick to say that this Rob Payne is the manager.  How would you know?  And when the previous poster called you on your stupid comments, you used your own special brand of logic to conclude that he must have a lot of debt.  You and your sham collection agency will be the ones in court when they get sued for debt collection violations.
