- sky walker| 3 repliesYes. I know who these people are. They are American Express Business and they want to sign up businesses for the American Express OPEN cards. They have great incentives for New Card Holders. I spoke with a guy named Ray and they set my up with a Card with no annual fee for the first year and plus I got a great cash back incentive. Great Business Card for New Companies.

- mecaudio replies to ummm, yeah| 2 repliesThis guy is telling the truth. It is American Express. They have been calling me for a couple of weeks now. Even after I told them I am not interested. They lady was highly annoying and could not tell me how she got my contact info. They are targeting people who have small businesses. They just called me again 2 minutes ago. I wish they would stop calling.
- dave C| 2 repliesyea..Amex again..it is almost harassment because it doesnt matter how many times you ask them not to call you...they still call. and who in the hell in their right mind would fill out a credit card application over the phone from a cold call?!!! i mean come on..seriously?
if i want credit for my biz then i will go out and get it myself.- Call type: Telemarketer
- robert replies to mecaudio| 1 replyyou can go to "National Do Not Call Registry.Com" and you can insert your phone number and solicitors can not call you any longer
- Anonym replies to sky walkerSo maybe you didn't mind being called on your cell phone at 7:15am on your day off, thinking it might've been an emergency from a family member or something. No, just a [***] spam call that should NEVER HAD HAPPENED!!!!!!
- borg replies to dave CTry to get a manager to the phone, they can do something for it. Make also a complaint to a BBB. My harrasment calls stopped in that same day.
- borg replies to sky walkerGo to BBB website and make a complaint. Helped me not to receive that kind of calls.
- Certainly Not A Paid Spokesperson replies to sky walker<sarcasm>
Wow, what a great unbiased review of this company! Like you, I don't mind telemarketers at all, especially if they are trying to sell me something I never expressed interest in buying. I'm going to contact them and buy everything they pitch to me, all because of you. Thanks!
</sarcasm> - small business owner replies to robertthe 'do not call' list does not apply if you have a credit card with a business, (such as AMEX) once you have their card, they will call you with promotions. Citibank, Discover, they all do it. Likewise, if you purchase an appliance or a car, refuse the extended warranty, it is just a matter of time (not a long time, sometimes as quickly as 48 hours) they are calling to sell you the warranty. Because certainly they know what you want/need more than you do! ALSO, thanks to automatic dialer systems, the 'do not call' list is only so affective. *sigh* so, if I don't recognize the number on my home phone, I don't answer. and if it is a toll free number on the business phone, I don't answer. Wish there were a way to get rid of these yahoos.
