they stole my bank info and made charges on my account!!!!

Me too!!!  I checked my bank statement online and I had a charge on my card that said "Checkcard 866-492-7652 Boston, MA"  I don't live in Boston and didn't use my card that day.  It also appeared on Dec 7, 07.

I check my statement today and noticed a charge from this number with CFM as the company. I have no clue what this is for. I called up the bank and the said is was to a bookstore or something in that area. I am disputing the charge.

Same thing happened to me. I looked at my bank statement today and had a charge for $9.75 from some "CFM Company" that I have never heard of or bought anything from or done business with EVER. Had to call and request a new card and everything. And right before Christmas too!

ME TOO! I'm glad I'm not going crazy, i couldn't remember charging anything to CFM. Sorry to all you folks out there.

Same thing happened to me. This is so crazy. I got a charge on my card for the same $9.75. I called my bank and had my card block.

I received a charge on my credit card for $9.75 as well.  I immediately closed my account.

yep.  mysterious $9.75 charge on my MC debit to CFM 8664927652.  there's a special place in hell for these fu*ks.  going to the bank now to try to sort it out.

Same thing here...the bank swears its a bookstore or something possibly from Ebay or paypal.  Do any of you have a paypal or ebay account?

Just got my Visa statement and had a charge from CFM for $9.75. Could not recognize the company so tried to call them and got a voice machine. Then went online and typed in the phone number and found this website with all the other responses. Have called the credit card company who is investigating. Thanks for the postings.

I see now that I'm not the only one with a $9.75 charge from some CFM company!  I'm contacting my bank tomorrow and checking into this.

There are about 6 of us that have been charged the same $9.25-$10.00 from an 866 # in California on the 5th-6th of January.

866-509-1184  for a company called Search Services Campbell. I closed my account number and got a new card and filed fraud charges. When something so small goes through undisputed they know its a good account number to use and who knows what they will do next.

Add another one to the list. Had a charge of $9.75 from CFM on Visa. Have disputed charge and am getting new card.

I didn't get a call from this number, but I did get a charge on my account for $9.75.  It was accompanied by a charge from byersebooks for $5.00.
You bet I'm reporting this as fraud and cancelling these credit cards.  Make sure you check ALL your check/credit cards, not just the first one you notice the charges on.

Also, make sure you report these charges as fraud instead of disputing them.  Disputing charges is for legitimate businesses that you actually do commerce with.  The only way to look at this is fraud.

I noticed this phone number on my statement with a $9.75 charge too, and this is the second one I have received. Awhile back I got a charge for $4.85 from some textiles place in Texas which was also a fraud. So now I am cancelling the card... Jerks!

Does anyone know who the hell these people are? something has to be done. this is [***]!

Ditto here.  $9.75.  I'd actually CLOSED my wells fargo account a week before they posted the charge.  So of course the bank boinked me an additional $45.00 - the charge was made on January 22, 2008.  Get a recording that tells you it's an answering machine.

Did you find out who CFM is?

I also did not receive a call from these people.  Just a charge on my bank account for $9.75 from "CFM".  My bank gave me the same info most of you have gotten.  I also filed a report with the BBB in Boston, MA.  I called Paypal 402-935-2050 and filed a fraud alert with them.  And for all of you who really want to stop these people go to IC3.gov and file a complaint.  I did and maybe the squeaky wheel will get oiled so to speak if we all send complaints.  Power in numbers and all that.

I called my bank today to find out what had been debited out of my checking account via my debit card and found a charge from CFM for $9.75 as well.  I talked to my bank and they said it was from a bookstore called CFM at 866-492-7652.  When that bookstore name did not ring a bell, I automatically went and Googled the ph# and found this info.  Thank God this information was on the internet.

I spoke to my bank's fraud department they are crediting me back, canceling my debit card and will send my file to their security department to report as a know threat/risk.

I will also go to IC3.gov and file a complaint!!  

I hope these jerks get caught!!!!
