I recieved a call from this number, asking for the Mother of Father of Diana Mirror(my name was in this slot, however for my own safety I have chosed an alias...)I told them I was Diana, and they said, "Have a good night diana" and hung up.

Answered the call, nobody responded.

I received call from this number, luckily the number shows on my caller ID. Anyway this lady identified her self as school counselor and she is selling a SAT and a college courses study guide for my daughter for $129.00. She ask if she can talked to my daughter. After a conversation with my daughter trying to sell her stuff, and my daughter gave me back the phone. After a moment i ask my daughter if she applied or talked to anybody about this company and she said no. Then the lady ask me if the address she got on file is the same address of my home. I don't know how she got it but it was correct. Then she ask my VISA card number thats when i suspect that this was a scam. I told her that i don't give my card number in the phone and asked her the company name again and then she hanged up. I tried to call back this number but the number was for a dating service.

I keep getting repeated calls from this number,at least 5 times weekly,sometimes twice in a day...my daughter says it was "Mr.Air" again....cuz u say hello a few times and nobody responds...I called it back,and it says "welcome to meeting one conferencing service....if u are a host,please enter your pin...".blahblah- a few weeks ago....i called back,waited for "the host" to come on the line....he refused to tell me what the call was about,and instead wanted my name and number b4 he could give me the "nature of the call"...so i hung up on his ass....lol!

Update!!! After a dozen or more of these mystery calls from this number, I contacted MeetingOne. I learned that they are a legitimate conferencing service and not the source of this annoyance. The 800 Notes website is truly helping to clean up illegal phone harassment, so keep the reports coming. The following is from the e-mail to me from MeetingOne:

" ... we can conclude that what is happening is that someone has programmed their caller ID to display this number fraudulently.  MeetingOne owns the number, and I have the actual records of use for this number and none of the records show any use during the time of the reports from your link [800 Notes website].  We are reporting the fraud to our carrier.

I got a call from this number as well. The man said he was with the ACT Test Prep Center. When I told him ACT does not solicit over the phone, he hung up. I called the number and also got the Meeting One conferencing number. So what's the point of caller ID? I sure hope that Meeting One has been able to track down these jerks.

March 18th 2007 A man called asking for (insert my sister's first name)'s parents, when I told him they weren't there and asked who was calling, he hung up right away.   I was freaked out because I thought that maybe some freak calling, but learning that this is a scam, I'm less nervous.  But the fact that he only used her first name was bizarre.  I'm making sure that my parents know about this call so they don't get screwed over.

I actually meant March 18th 2008.  It happened just today.

I also received a call from this number and they asked if I was the parent of (my child's name) I said yes. Then the man said he was with the ACT Test Prep Center. I told him that I have been receiving calls from them,then he hung up.

I, too received this phone call on 4-23-08 at 7:51PM.  The caller ID said this number.  The guy was saying the same thing as these messages say.  When he got to the price I said, "NO THANKS!" and hung up.  I'm concerned how these people get our children's names and know our addresses.  I hope the owner of the phone number can catch these people and get this stopped.

Same here. It's frightening me, as he's called me twice. He's used my screen name name.

This caller has called twice. My father and brother have picked up the phone, then alerted me that they asked for a "Rey." That is my screen name, which frightens me greatly. I got onto the phone once and said "hello" a few times before hanging up after receiving no response.

I get a few calls like this a week. I just don't answer the phone, until I am really agravatted, then answer "WHAT THE F DO YOU WANT?" Click is the answer that I get every time. No more calls.

I received a call today at 2:41pm, my daughter answered and a male asked for me (first name only) then told her "this call is urgent", then asked for my husband by first name only.  She told them we were working and he hung up.  When I called back, it connected to meetingone as the others noted.

I just recieved a call from this number a few minutes ago asking for my parents. i said "excuse me?" because i wasnt sure how they knew my name. they repeated themselves,i told them that they weren't home, then they  asked "you really couldn't hear me?" then i said "No, not really." then the person started scoffed at me and hung up. It was a male, a young voice, and from reading your posts, it seems they target high school juniors. I got a strange feeling after they hung up, so i googled the number and here i am.

I just got the same call right now and the man ticked me off.  He constantly interrupted me when I started questioning what this was about.  He tried to make it sound like he was affiliated with my daughter's school and was calling about the exams that she had coming up this month.  Well I would think the school would keep us informed of these major exams coming up this month. lol  What a jerk.  He pissed me off because he kept interrupting me -- he finally realized i was on to him and there was no way I was buying his CD's.  He even tried to convince me that my daughter must be in sports and not have time to study the books, that she requested the CD's from him.  He then asked to talk to her.  what a bunch of crap.
