All American Chimney and Duct Cleaning called my elderly parents and asked if they wanted a free chimney inspection, which they agreed to have done. They were told that they would require a long list of repairs of they would be in a code violation. When the two technicians were finished they handed them a bill for $3200 for just over one hours work with a long list of parts and labor. This bill did not have any breakdown of what cost what and what the hour labor charge was for this service. I was able to stop payment on the check before they cashed it!!!!! What are these people thinking!!!!! Still waiting for them to call back and explain what the deal is, IF they call back I will repost.  Very nasty.

did they ever call to explain?? I think they came to my house a few years ago and literally did something to make it look like I needed repairs...It did sound fishy. I never called them again!!

The one that solicits, claiming to service the entire tri-state area, is a rip-off and should be avoided at all costs! Do NOT let any chimney company that solicits you into your home!!

These guys are a rip off, its a bait and switch scam, they offer a cleaning or 40$ and then tell you that work needs to be done or you are in danger, they scammed my 86 yr old mother out of 3600$ and scared the ahit out of her, nothing but a bunch of criminals, if they call you set an appointment and call the police so we can get these trash bags out of business... By the way, an inspection by the town inspector revealed that the chimney was working BETTER when we pulled out the "stainless steel" liner which was not stainless steel

got a phone call from a private number. gave my info and never received a call back. im glad after i read all this. thanks for the most important info.

Called me, too, asking if we wanted our chimney cleaned, for $30.  We made an appt. for two days later.  Then they called to move the appt. to next day instead, for $25.  Felt funny so I cancelled everything.  I thought, "Are they licensed? Bonded?  They're up on the roof for Pete's sake."

The thing is, there are 5 or 6 legitimate and highly rated American Chimney Service, Inc. small businesses in various cities around the country.  Take a good name and impersonate it.  Rom?

It's too bad this site is 4 or 5 pages into Google's search results, who but a few look that far? (A few pages in the results don't contain my search words so I skip the last 1,500 pages.)   :-)

I received a phone call from this company... They gave me a deal of 30.00 to clean my chimney... They said they would be there between 8-10 and they got there at 9:00... The technicians were so friendly, and really did a great job... I would recommend this company to anyone!!!!

This site must really be making it tough for you crooks to invade your victims' residences and overcharge for unnecessary, unsafe, 5th rate work that they will have to pay a REAL contractor to clean up afterwards... after you're long gone and changed the phone number of your boiler room.

Got a call 12/4/12 at 12:42pm. I Did not answer and they did not leave message. Now I know what to expect. I'm sick of these Jag-offs.

Had an appointment with them. When they pulled in the drive they saw an unmarked patrol car. Backed out and took off. Got them about 3 hours later.  Driver had a warrant out on him. Other worker. no ID........... Yep,  they do a great job.  Checking out your home.........

If scammers were to clean a chimney, they'd get stuck in the chimney, and you'll have to smoke em out.

We had this company  out last year. they told us that our chimney needed repair, we did not have anything done. they called again and we had them come out and had the repair done and made payment by check. this morning I tried to call to inform them that they need to come back as the chimney cap came off in a storm. I was unable to call as the number of the business card returning me to the opening recording, I called my bank and put a stop payment on the check which luckily has not gone through yet, as I began  to feel very uneasy. My husband called number he found on the web site that is a 215 number.  They are to cal him back. we will find out the deal. I feel like I should call the police.

We are cancelling our appointment in Cranford on Monday the 31st between 10-12. Roza ps was not able to cancel by phone. The phone do not take messages.

This is a bulletin board for discussing scam and spam phone calls.  It is not a chimney cleaning company.  Your appointment is not with anyone here.  To cancel your appointment you'll have to contact the people you made the appointment with.

They have called here repeatedly after I asked the girl to remove me from their list. They still called, I answered, and spoke to some wise [***] boiler room operator.  I refused their service, I was told I would be reported to my local fire chief, and my home owners Ins. co. would be notified, that I was noncomplient of fire code 211.   So being a fireman and knowing that NFPA code 211 only applies to the building and placement of a chimney, I called out the operator on the false information, He hung up on me, and they have never called back.  Sounds like a high pressure tactic to me , STAY AWAY FROM THEM.  They don't have the right or the power to report you to anyone, and don't give them any infromation.

Do not use this company under any circumstances! They are scam artists. The exact same thing happened to us. They came for a chimney cleaning for $40 and ended up ripping us off for $300 for something we didn't even need and they didn't even clean our chimney. They also told us we needed 1000's of dollars worth of work. We said not now, we were getting another estimate and when we did it turned out to be substantially less. They are very good at deceiving the unsuspecting person. They left all of their trash on our lawn and left. They asked us to check out their good name on the internet where you will typically come up with Another All American Chimney's good name and rating. Make sure you type in their phone number to uncover who you are really dealing with.

I received several calls today from this All American Company.  The caller ID reads 000-000-0000.  I did speak to a women and told her to take me off the list...live in townhouse and she rudely hung up.   About an hour later I received another call from a male named Tom asking for my son who does not live her, he was also rude and hung up.  I am fed up with these calls and I am planning to report them to the government DO NOT CALL LIST.
