    This is a legitimate number used by the netspend fraud protection system. You will get a call from them, if their system thinks that a recent credit card transaction could be fraudulent.

    I had a call today on my cell phone from “NetSpend” @ 866-504-3663.  The voicemail asked me to call back regarding credit card activity.  When I redialed they call tree recording asked from my social security number or credit card number.   My guess is they are trapping credit card info using the NetSpend name. Call NetSpend at 866-387-7363 and press 1 to talk to a real person.

    Recording said to call regarding possible fraud with my pre-paid debit card. Well, I don't have a pre-paid debit card so this is a scam!

    Yes, I also received a call from that number and because of this site, called it back.  It was indeed netspend.  My suggestion to them was to have their name also appear with their phone number so that it is not ignored as a sales call?  She said they were looking in to that possibility.

    I also received a call from this number today regarding a pre-paid card which I don't have.  I looked up NetSpend and noted they are a legit company, but their listed number was 1-866-387-7363, not the one I received the call from.  When I called the real NetSpend number I simply got transferred to a representative, I didn't supply any of my own personal information, and told them the situation and asked if the 866-504-3663 number was associated with them.  The rep put me on hold for a minute, when he came back he indicated it was not a number they used and that I should ignore the call.  If you are a NetSpend customer and have a concern, I would recommend calling the number on the back of your card or a number directly from NetSpends website.

    This is not a legitimate call from netspend. You should never provide your information to anyone.  This is a scam.

    l too had a call from this number earlier this, took too long for the recording to let me know anything. When I called back, all I got was another recording asking for my personal pin number or last 6 digits from my SS#.
    That leads me to believe that yes, it is fraud.
