Yes, I get calls.  The display says Bell Canada.  I phoned Bell Canada (and they checked their data base) and they say it is not their number.  They took details and my understanding is they will be looking into it.

Also, when I phoned this number they answered as Bell Canada but did not tell me what they wanted or what they were promoting. they gave me the following number of 800-790-9957 to be deleted from their list.  Of course this number is a bogus. It's a constant busy signal.  Obviously another scam.

Same Here! I got 2-3 calls/day, but I didn't answer. If Bell wants to communicate something that important with me, they have my address.

Third time and spoke to the person - Bell Home service. Same, call the number back and Bell answer. Telemarketing for Bell Home Phone service.

I get tons of calls from this number and they leave a hang up message (click) at least once a day. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? It is soooooo irritating!

What is the deal with this number anyways?  this is weird..i answer and no one on the other line.  called the number and it is a bell number...and then i'm in a strange hold.

called these a$$holes yesterday and asked to be taken off their call list and they called again today.  I'm on hold right now to have them listen to me yet again.  how annoying. i'm going with another carrier if this happens again.

They are using this number to push their IPTV service in Toronto.  I pointed out to them that I had signed up for telemarketing exclusion -- and they had it right on their screen!  They are not actually Bell, they are subcontractors.  I found this out when cut them off and asked about the status of fixing a screwup from a few days ago -- they said they would have to transfer me to the 'business office' - at which point I asked them if they were actually Bell.  They gave a weasel answer.  Told them to respect the customer's wishes NOT TO BE TELEMARKETED TO NEXT TIME.

If it continues, a call to George Cope's office --  george.cope@bell.ca (514) 870-0038 -- will be made.

I get these phone calls daily.. and when listen to my outgoing message they hang up.

I *67'd, then dialed the number and it takes me to Bell.. who then want me to enter my number, to see why they are calling me.. wtf?

I'm not.. they are Bell.. they must know how phones and Call Answer works.
They need to leave me a message. I pay for Call Answer. They should leave me one.

What a suggest is to do a sort of  ''recours collectif '' in front of the authorities of this bled  if there s any!

i was reading the complain from the people who get phone call from this number , i call *69 to know who is calling how ever it might be actually bell Canada collecting on *69 you never know !?
I will call them to remove the fee since they say they from bell Canada

same thing for me - hang up no message - several times this week and last week - My No5 option identified the caller's number so I had the idea to google it and I found this forum. Ready for the "recours collectif" if need be.

happens 1 to 2 times a day, they even called sunday morning on thanksgiving weekend. I want to charge them with harassment. UGH!

You can purchase hardware that allows you to change your phone number and name display as it appears on other peoples phones, which is what these scammers have done.  It's easy...I don't have it but have seen it in action.  These aren't Bell people, they're scammers who want you to think it's Bell calling.
